Should note Wyrmrest has a sustainable Alliance RP community as well.
It’s less one sided than Moonguard.

Hmm that makes it complicated haha, I think Il go with WRA though.
It’s more of a what kinda of RP you’re looking for.
Moonguard has a tendency to be more open, flexible, and accept more lore defying ideas.
While Wyrmrest is a bit more serious when it comes to sticking to lore friendly RP.

If you go to moonguard make sure you have some eye bleach for goldshire

If you do go to Wyrmrest Accord be sure to bring your own stick to put up your bum, they don’t provide them. They get really, really uptight about many things.

you just need to see it for dark faire lol.
And events like now. Just don’t go in the inn and do the events outside. I had to go in for the candy jar. the char needed the xp.
I recommend Moon Guard for either faction. Actually decent people on that server.
From my (various) personal experiences, the community in WrA is quite toxic. Lots of conceited, two-faced people there (talking OOC).

Emerald Dream is an rp server. Idk how it is, though.
This has been my experience as well! I been RPing on both realms on and off since 2014, and I’ve found the best and most enjoyable RP over in MG. Wyrmst most the time expects you to have a novel filled profile even tho no one will ever read it all, where as in MG walkups and going in with less always ends up better! I love to write characters (a lot of the time I never end up RPing but I’m a writer myself ;D)
MG is relaxed when it comes to grammar and spelling mistakes, this was a real blessing for me when I came in having dyslexia.
I also noticed Wyrmst prefers experienced RPers over someone whose new or a little rusty, and go with the generic personalities of each race.
For instance if you may.
Wyrmst player: “lolol why are all DK’s so emo?!?! So over done omg”
Rolls a non emo edge lord DK
Wyrmst player: “Thats actually NOt ThE rIgHt wAy tO RP a Dk”
I just find it funny, same with DH now haha.
Or taurens oh LAAAWWD most the taurens on there are so one dimensional and copy cats of each other. When I tried to think outside of the group I was threatened to be kicked out of the “tribe”.
I always try to think outside the box with my toons in a non annoying way, which is way more welcomed over on MG then Wyrmst imo.
I’ve met players who flat out told me “don’t RP with me if you don’t have a MRP” (my roleplay profile).
Not that Wyrmst is all bad, but you’ll be laughed at for trying to dragon RP where on MG you’ll find RP literally for anything cannon or non cannon haha.

Well, must be a certain part of a community because I played a DK character that was a bit more positive with refined dignity and class because the ones that outwardly projected the “ERMAGERD SUFFERING” were boring.
This thread has been helpful. I was considering checking out a RP server, but not wanting anything that was going to be a real negative experience right out the gates. This may help narrow it down a bit.

WRA has healthyish populations for both factions.
MG has significantly higher Alliance population than WRA has for either faction. Which makes it a really good choice if you want more, uh, density.
MG comes with a bit of the expected “culture” though, despite what some people might say. It’s not all like Goldshire, but it leans that way in public chats at least at times.
