I don’t think it even matters anymore, since the AH is connected on all servers now, if I recall correctly.
EDIT: Oh, just googled it, and only for commodities. Maybe Moon Guard probably.

not for certain items like mounts and battle pets, no.
this should give the current prices on each realm but not in an easy format - you would have to take some time going through each and then determining if they are actually selling on those servers. Undermine journal used to be great for this, this site not so much but I know of no other way.

If you have friends to help transfer the gold, this is the way.
Search an AH website for prices, make a toon on the realm with the best price, sell your pet, and then get your friend to help transfer gold back to your main.
not moon guard
so far the best (at least for certain pets) is mal’ganis funnily enough
i scoped WRA, mal’ganis, Stormrage, A52, and Illidan. Moon Guard and A52 seem the worst but i didnt check all pets, just a few. but going price is different than sell rate and battle/companion pets can be very hit or miss

im on moon guard, and while transmogs tend to do well there (you might not get the same juicy price listings but the sell rate is fairly high) i havent had a lot of luck with pets
As someone who has sold a lot of specialty items there is not a great answer. The item is more likely to sell on a high pop realm like Area 52, illisan, Stormrage, etc, but the price is usually lower. Meanwhile if you can find a seller you will get more on more mid pop realms but it might take a couple months.

honestly, you’ll more than likely sell a pet thats in high demand on a higher pop realm. you might get a little less for it, but it will move faster, especially if its @ 25

Curious what are your other forms of making money? Honestly if you have tuskarr rep up, just farm the boxes. the junk from them sells for a pretty penny.

i have very few methods of making gold
i usually float by just selling stuff as i happen upon it (mostly from mount/mog runs) but when funds get dire i mooch 
i had sold an elemental lariat recipe much earlier this xpac (it was worth a good bit less because it was closer to current at the time so more recipes were floating on the market) but i was getting by with just that for a good while
Moon Guard has been fairly poor for them minus limited time pets like the Molten Core LFR pet. But it would likely sell most anywhere.
I sold a few pets for a decent profit on Thrall last patch. I sold probably 3 Gundrak Hatchlings for a total of 300k gold. Some people had them listed for 500k and I put them up one at at ime for 100k and they sold pretty quickly. Maybe some addon buyer thinking he was getting a good deal.

If you’re willing to RP, there was an Evoker at the start of the expansion, selling whelpling pets as a “black market dragon dealer” in stormwind.
Said he made a decent profit because people engaged with him due to RP’ing. But I’m not sure if the time/effort is worth it.

You only need r19 or r20 for the fishing boxes. you can track them with find fish. if you need the book, fish in iskaara you should get it in a few casts. then just go up and down rivers and along the coast of places like the waking shores

This is solid advice - it’s monotonous (I think so at least) but the gold can rack up quite quickly. Find a good few routes and just go ham - keep plenty of bag space ready!
