What is the best race for rogue on alliance? I played human back then but I’m unsure if that was actually the best lmfao.
Night elf causes your stealth to be stronger…
Human can boost your DPS if you use those weapons.

They can racial stealth, and then then use the rogue stealth over the top of it. It’s very useful.

Depends what you plan to do but as a fellow rogue
Dwarf or gnome for PvP and human or night elf for pve
Thats not useful at all. You are thinking of the wotlk version where you can use it in combat

“Best” needs parameters. The race with the best dance? Dwarf female of course. The race with the best mount? Night Elf. The race with the best option for loot? Dwarf find treasure. See where I am going?
For PvP its actually human since rogue vs. rogue comes down to who sees the other first. The human racial is crucial to winning those fights. But NE for PvE for sure (eww no). Gnomes are viable for pvp as well.
Edit: sorry NE arn’t better as rogues. For some reason I thought they had an agility boost like gnomes get an int boost of 5%. Also, indeed the higher weapon skill humans have give them like a 10% dps boost to swords.

PvE - Human. 10% Rep Boost, +5 Swords skill (and +5 Mace skill if you wield one during leveling for some reason). Nelfs have no racial traits that help dps.
PvP either. Humans get a very strong stealth detection on a long cd, useful for getting openers on opposing rogues. Nelfs get an extra stealth level and 1% Dodge. Keep in mind that Shadowmeld cannot be used in combat though.

Shadow Meld racial is for non rogues to hide in World PvP or to not pull in raids/dungeons after wipe. You can get out of some tough situations or ambush in Wpvp

People keep asking which is ‘better’, but don’t bother to specify better in what regards.
Better in PvP? Better in PvE? Better looking? Better overall stats? Better for leveling quickly? Better for End Game Raids?
Better how?
I also would suggest you pick the race you like the best, instead of which is the ‘best’, because that’s just going to fail you when you switch to something else and now want the best for another part of the game and have to level another rogue in another race. Just pick the race you like looking at and playing.

We have been talking about the different kinds of ‘better all thread’.
You know Classic has powerful racial abilities that heavily swing the balance of a class. Priests have it the worst because the dwarven priest abilities too OP.
Play what you want is a given, but don’t come crying to me when the undead’s Will of the Forsaken continually whoops you in pvp.

Dwarf for PvP. Stone form = clean re stealth, vanish, break blind. Also they are manliest of the races, especially female dwarf. The only change I’d support in classic is female dawrf facial hair option.
Human for pve because weapon skill was BIG and mattered.

i don’t play alliance so my opinion is not really valuable, but i know from experience that gnomes are very tiny and more difficult to click on, so they would be useful for rogues who need to get in someone’s face and burst them down quickly before they can retaliate, escape artist is also good for catching up to the person, other people have said night elves for their stealth but i see that as the opposite of useful, since you already have stealth why would you need 2
Because NE adds +1 level to your stealth making it harder to see them.

Nelf is easily the worst race for all classes if they want to take them seriously. Shadow meld is pretty good for priest or hunter in pvp.

This is incredibly wrong.
Assuming you’re using swords, then Human is far and away the best for PvE.
Night Elf’s are the best looking, but their racial is worthless for combat.
