Best race for affliction lock

Im orc now but im debating on troll. What are your thoughts (pve)

I prefer troll racial for caster and I also enjoy the animations.
If you’re min-maxing I really don’t think there’s much difference in it these days.

Dwarf or orc

I have a troll lock (Affliction) and the only benefit their racial gives is dot ticks which isn’t impressive. My dot ticks time will go from 1.3 to 1.2.

Afflictions stack haste on top of instant talents or reduce cast time talents, UA has a reduced cast time talent so it’s quick enough, shadow bolt is instant a lot of the time and a talent reduces the cast time by a lot, don’t use MR at all but it’s instant or VERY quick cast time, and lastly haste doesn’t effect oblivion if you play that.

So in PvE it’s .1 dot ticks buff VS Orc intellect buff. Orc if you want that little extra.

PvP Orc hands down because of stun duration reduction and racial adds more damage, quite a bit more in that small window.

Now Troll works really well with Fire Mage because you can fit in extra pyros but even then I feel like the orc racial just adds more raw damage within that window. Idk I did some testing and I believe it’s 5% more intellect and it’s a 2min CD

Not too bad, considering the DoTs are the biggest part of Aff damage. Also, Troll racial reduces all the spells cast time, which is very nice during MR dump phase.

troll haste buff is a 1to 1 buff for dot damage it ticks 10 % faster so it loads its damage into the last partial tick it is a 10% damage buff during it’s uptime.

Any of the elves, because they are pretty.

Vulpera. cause not only would you be killing players as an affliction warlock. it adds additional salt to the wounds for people to be killed by a vulpera.
