Scorpids with poison that stacks to 5 existed in classic, Hunters can use that to mask viper sting.
That’s a pretty dangerous anti-synergy with scatter/trap.
Uh what? No… no no no lol. Yes shadow priests have the same utility that disc does but that’s not the only reason why you’re bringing the priest. You’re mainly bringing them for their heals. A shadow priest will go oom twice as fast doing 1/2 the healing the disc will do. Not to mention the power of PI alone…
Priests will be the best healer output for single fights, group fights, and small fights.
I’m not even sure I need to touch on the rest of what you said as someone who is really into pvp should already know the fallacies to what you said.
Either way, you can have your opinion it doesn’t bother me!
It depends what your goal is. If you are fighting in a group fight, a scatter trap on a healer won’t actually accomplish that much since the other healer would dispel, and trap shares a cd with frost trap, which might be better in a group fight.
But if you are fighting 2 healers, viper sting + scorpid could actually have an impact while a scatter trap might not.
Paladins and Druids are the best Pvp healers… with paladins being the best.
Druids also couple as a tank/staller/flag carrier/healer all in one. Resto/Bear spec
Priests and Shamans are the weakest. Priests have some utility with mana burn, but they are very squishy.
Coming from a pvp grind druid from Vanilla, for what it is worth, I agree with Lenet and everything else they have said.
Priest because of their cc, mind control.
This is not true. Psychic Scream can only be dispelled by totems, and is aoe which makes it even more powerful. Anyone with a magic dispel can dispel HoJ.
Priests also have stronger heals compared to Paladin, power infusion that can be used to buff allies, mind control, and mana burn, so it’s not as lopsided as you suggest.
Psychic scream is pretty trash tbh. For Alliance, all youll hear is the will of the forsaken noise and you die shortly after. For Horde, warriors just zerk rage out or they had a fear ward and kill you anyway.
I’d trade psychic scream for just about any other aoe cc. Maybe even warstomp lol.
Almost no one is going to run a scorpid over Brokentooth or ZG Bat. Even if they do DS will clear all debuffs.
Druid heals are literally the strongest heals in vanilla, I mean just look at em on wowhead. They do struggle with mana though I’ll give you that, but honestly all of the healers do except for paladin in pvp.
Edit: Also Druids can downrank theirs heals and still match if not beat others max rank heals. So in reality they can bring some of that mana back.
Lets be real, which one can survive burst. I’ll give you a hint. It’s not the one wearing all cloth.
Incorrect.
Paladin. Priest will get trained and killed right away. Paladin can atleast free cast while they’re bubbled every 5 minutes.
Shadow priests are never taken in to premade groups. They’re terrible for it. The only premade healers are priests and paladins. There’s two priests for every paladin in premade groups.
You guys might be underestimating how hard it is to kill a Druid… So slippery.
That said, composition means everything. If you have a strong core protecting your healer, Priest comes out ahead of all with most output + utility.
If you’re scrubbing it or in a small group, Paladins are going to be very self-sufficient.
I’m not really sure what Vanilla Shamans offer, other than the dreaded Ele-burst.
I think ‘Best PvP healer’ is a fairly open-ended question, but agree with OPs video and would also choose priest if I had to choose the ‘the all-round best’.
Priest is the best pvp healer for high end premade PvP, but might not be the best healer for a random WSG with 4 hunters spamming viper sting and no one peeling for you haha.
Paladin is the best defensive healer with the most survivability… but without the raw healing output, good luck healing through ele shaman burst.
The best PvP healer overall is priest. Organized PvP like bgs isn’t a fair assessment as the priests will also have back up healers to keep them alive etc.
Now if we talking like a random 2v2 or 3v3 it’s hands down the priest.
Mana burn is too good, and so is fear. Yes we all know the first fear is broken by trinket or racials. Once that fear lands it’s gg.
If we are talking skilled players the warrior will be feared out if zerker stance and the priest won’t fear with tremor down…
Once the priest starts landing Mana burns the game is over.
Move into BC and pallies are the worst PvP healers in Arena. Only thing going for them is they can dispell viper sting. They get hit with a cc their team dies they get hit with a CS there team dies.
As good as the paladin tanky healers are, I think 31/20 PI disc priest healers are better.
Fortunately, priests counter holy paladins because of mana burn. When I hear “But so and so + paladin is unstoppable” I always think “add another priest”
Moonuredps and zonkabonk has it spot on.
There is a very good reason as to why mana burn was removed.
The first thing you do outside of triage as a priest is removing the enemy healers mana.
It’s all over.
