Best PVP expansion since MoP

There I said it. I think TWW is the best PVP expansion since MoP, and since I live in the present, it is currently the best PVP expansion of all time.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahhahahh!!

No seriously? hahahahhahahah man. That was a good one!

Is this before the mmr issues and que problems? Or is this the lack of wpvp entirely?

Wait… is it the fact they removed wpvp bonus stats?

Or is it the fact that blizz doesnt do anything for pvp?

5/10 troll post. Would read again.

With all of the above and having Solo Queue, a decent class balance and gearing system. I still think it’s one of the best time I’ve had in PVP in a long time since MoP.

MoP RBG’s was the last time I had fun in rated, until TWW (I guess DF Season 4 with Blitz)

Feels WoDish. Some classes don’t have the capabilities they did in MoP. Maybe they will by the last titan if they don’t do any major pruning.

I agree. I like the fact that gearing up is incredibly easy now. I also like the fact that the Epic BGs have their separate queue within the PvP interface. Back in the days, you had to specific queue for AV or IOC if you wanted to do 40 man battlegrounds badly.

I just wish they would make it purely cross-faction so that the queue will be better for everyone.

Dragonflight/The War Within.

Talent Trees
Hero Talents
Skyriding (I personally enjoy it.)
Warbands (Might be the best feature in the games history.)
Solo Shuffle (Solo has been the most requested PvP feature.)
BG Blitz (Solo has been the most requested PvP feature.)
WoD PvP Gearing System (and even improved upon.)

I consider both expansions as one.

Mohz is right - this is the best PvP expansion… ever. The only thing that holds this expansion back is War Mode - which will always be the worst decision Blizzard has ever made.

This ^^^^^^^^^

Such a waste… imagine the glory and fun we could be having if they invested but a tiny bit of the pve time into wpvp.

WPvP back in the day’s of PvP servers was the most fun experience… now, it’s just Soullscape running around loaded up on every buff in the game - killing undergeared players. Totally impressive, dude!

But when he starts doing BGs - he gets destroyed 1v1.

Got 'eeeeem!

I think you’re right, all things considered. Solo queues alone are a huge win. Looking at modern MoP streams, it doesn’t look that much better.

I’m not having as much fun as I had in back in original MoP, but it’s because everyone has gotten tougher, and it’s harder to play, and I’m older and not a super good player myself and definitely feeling the squeeze towards the bottom of the barrel.

First of I know WSB made their name on WPvP but WPvP is such a small portion of the player base and always has been. At least people that make it a lot of what they do.

Thing is MMR issues have always existed. But even then every expac has issues.

Again, this is such a small thing.

Like WPvP gets things, considering the amount of people that probably engage in it. But lets be clear nothing is balanced around WPvP. In fact what makes it interesting is it’s a wild wild west type of place. I would be interested to see what you think a good expansion for WPvP would be. Because it’s like people forget up until recently WPvP got literally nothing. No gear, no free for all zones, no achievements, no rewards. So again be interested to see what you are comparing it to lol.

War Mode the idea is great. It actually should have given more people access to WPvP without worrying about what server they are on. The problem is the implementation and lack of development imo. PvP servers people just seem to forget were largely either dead or just had huge faction imbalances. There was basically one server left that had any kind of balance at all.

Sharding killed world PvP imo. Big selling point of wpvp was raking up reputation on the server, and when that was gone, the point was lost. They should’ve connected realms manually instead. I heard Emerald Dream RPPvP still remained strong until they made it shared.

Only during BFAs when big raid vs raid was huge, and it escalated to cross realm level disruption, then it was somewhat close. But as long as they prioritise anonymous shared deathmatch, it’s not going to be any fun imo.

During WoD it was much bigger. MoP was a close 2nd. I was alliance then and fought against WSB with DV7 and Spartanics. Amazing time.

I disagree. You had it on in the world. Nothing else and those that didn’t lost. It mattered.

This was the nail in the coffin. It started in WoD and only got worse. The exception was during BFA and first 6 months of DF.

There just isn’t enough people left that care about world pvp such that it’s probably a waste of resources to develop it.

The few of us left that do care are just picking up scraps where we can, lol.

World PVP was much different then. Server specific (or battlegroups) AND you had to deal with Multiboxers <3.

Ugh, don’t remind me. Like that sick freak from BfA that would camp world quests with 25 UHDK accounts.

A challenge and a honor to fight prepared with his 80 man dk boxers.

I tried to fight back alliance multiboxers in Nazjatar with my own 5 bm hunters XD

Ya here is the thing, it was always big on Emerald Dream. I know all about the history. I was an officer in a guild that paved the way for guilds like WSB and others later on. Was around for all that. If by bigger you mean more zergy then yes, by MoP and WoD that is what Emerald Dream PvP was. Guilds just throwing huge numbers at each other all the time. I played on Emerald Dream from when it went live in 2005 to the middle of Shadowlands on my main (now my main is back there) and WPvP was what I did mostly until After BfA where I just became a BG hero. Still WPvP, but honestly it can get old with exploiters and having to worry about what toy, potion, bug, hack etc people might be using that makes them unkillable.

Conquest gear was better though. For stats, ilevel and tier bonuses at times.

If I was to guess they still have things planned for WPvP. What they are or if they will be good I am have no idea.

Pretty much, but it was almost every night. So wpvp was a lot bigger with numbers, and participation.

Thats just part of wpvp… blizz has a ton of things players could do to avoid death and or destroy others. Its not exploiting, it was part of the game and the chaos of wpvp. For me it was always entertaining. I remember a monk ehh… cant remember his name but he was unkillable because he was so good at getting away.

Yes however when you activated the wpvp gear with extra vers, it was unbeatable. I thought it was a wonderful way to separate players that wanted to be in the word from all the pve/structured pvp players gear wise, so if you were in the world and didnt have wpvp gear… you would find out real fast why you needed it, which helped players participate in more wpvp.
