Me and my group of friends want to play together day 1, but we are playing 3 different races (dwarf, human, and night elf).
we are debating on were to meet up, and at what level.
First thought was all meet up at human starting zone, because having 1 player run far (the night elf) would just be easier than 2 running far (the dwarf and human) but it got brought up there prob is not a druid trainer in elwyn forest lol
If the dwarf and human are gonna leg it to the night elf starting zone, should we do that right away at level one, or grind individually to level 6-12? is skipping the starter zone quests going to hurt us at all? im hearing on stess tests some early quests were a battle for mobs that took upwards of 15 minutes per

There is the whole āexplore for xpā thing you guys could do. Get flight paths and level to 5/6.
There is a druid trainer in SW. Or you could all hoof it there using the death trick in the dwarf starting area to quickly get to Menethil and the boat. Choice is really up to you

Run to SW first get flight path, then can go back and train. Only need to go back every few levels.
Sit in a circle⦠and circle jerk.

I hope day 1 isnāt plagued with lag, queues, disconnects and outages otherwise you guys might not get a whole lot accomplished.
we didnt think about sitting⦠i thought my little dwarf arms wouldnāt be able to reach the night elf, but sitting solves all those problems!!!

Honestly, itās really personal preference (assuming the closest city has a trainer for all of your classes). Iād do it day one. Simply strip down, and deathwalk it. Once everyone is together, you can all start on the same quests.
The only thing to keep in mind is that your class quests are probably restricted to certain cities, so that may slow you down if you donāt plan for that.
It depends what classes youāre playing honestly.
If itās classes that are available to night elves, then personally Iād have 2 of them go to Teldrassil. There will be less people leveling there (than Human at least), and the quests from 12ish to 20 are best in Darkshore.
If thereās a mage among the group letās say, then go Elwynn.
yeah we are kinda prepared for that blizzard tradition.
only 1 out of 3 of us got in for name res, but fortunately he snagged up the 3 main names we wanted! frustrating experiance tho, but hey that a ālaunchā day for ya
There should be a trainer in SWās park area. Just make sure your nelf friend snags the needed flight paths.

Classic is a whole different animal. I would recommend playing together and leveling up at least 2 of you in the same starting zone to level 10 (or 11) so you can go to the same leveling area. If needed level 2 or more characters together, it would be a lot more fun than playing solo. Just roll a tank and a healer or something like that. Rogues are notoriously useful too. If youāre planning professions already have someone pick up one of the gathering skills to help leveling them a little easier. Who knows that character could reach level 40! Believe me it isnāt a complete waste.
i didnt think much about classes other than the druid mattering, but we are dwarf priest, human mage, and night elf druid.
If the NE doesnāt mind dying once, and only once. They can fly to Darkshore, take the boat to Menethil Harbor, walk to the far peir, walk to the far end of the peir (āfar endā important because avoiding murlocs) swim south west diagonally, not straight (murlocs) follow the shore west/ south west (stay by the shore, or fatigue)
Wait for the Dun Morogh general channel to pop. Drown yourself. Resurrect in Karanos. Least amount of death.
I forgot, make sure to click on the flight masters as you go, so you can get the flight paths.

Thereās a boat that goes to Stormwind in Auberdine, Darkshore. Itās at the end of the pier. Itās a funny looking boat or the Stormwind looking boat Iām not sure which one. Maybe thereās only one.
Not in classic, no boats out of stormwind.

There was one for the night elves. Just like the zeppelin that goes out of Undercity
That was added in a much later expac.
There wasnāt even a pier in vanilla, muchless access to the sea.

Do the initial starting zone and meet up in goldshire
