Trying to cut down on porting/load screens while also trying to avoid the risk of “instance not found,” errors where is everyone logging out with their characters the day before expansion?
I was going to say new Dalaran but perhaps Stormwind right next to the portal to Azsuna is the better option? Or perhaps in the Broken Isles near Dalaran but not actually in Dalaran.

Legion Dalaran. I did the test launch yesterday, that’s where the new quests started.
I’ll log out wherever I end up leaving my characters. Mostly because I never play launch day anyway. So it doesn’t much matter for me.
ok I think I may err towards logging out just a shade outside of Dalaran in case the zone crashes (pun intended.)
Logout in the middle of nowhere, set your hearth as close to the new quest starters as possible.

I wanna say Dalaran but chances are, the servers will get bricked and you won’t be able to log for a while because everyone else is in Dalaran too, however, this might not end up being the case since they are splitting between two launches.
I"m parked in Org and SW but given the Dal info (Thx Cazadori) I may just move there now.
The risk is higher if you need to use portals. It was a dark time during Shadowlands.

Sit in one of the Legion zones so you can fly up to Dalaran.

Definitely no where near the map where you travel into the new expansion zones otherwise you’ll be fighting the loading screen boss.
When Cata launched I parked in Shimmering Flats, knowing when I returned, it would be flooded. I was curious where I was going to end up.
They plonked me on the Speed Barge in the middle of the lake.
Well the expansion starts in dalaran, where the portals for prepatch are.
So there is the best place.
But if you want to avoid dalaran, then just outside the city i guess.
on top of orgrimmar at the riding master so when the restart happens we can all jump into the sky and fly at the same time!
