I’ll admit when the announcement video dropped today, I wasn’t let down, but I definitely didn’t have my expectations blown. Keep in mind I am a massive casual PvP player that has played WoW from the beginning.
I will admit, I don’t raid or do any PvE content of any kind, but seeing the legendary axe was a big appeal for me personally. I will absolutely be jumping in this upcoming raid to get this weapon for if nothing else, just the appearance alone.
But now as more time has settled and more information has come out, this is looking like a strong patch that I am seriously excited for.
We have now also heard…
- Battleground Blitz, Solo Q Rbgs that will be introduced as a Brawl
- Announcement of the Blue Heritage Armor Night Elf set coming later
- The new Tier Set Bonuses
- The addition of a Duo Q for Battleground Blitz, so long as one of the players is a healer
This is fantastic stuff. I cannot wait for Battleground Blitz to become a permanent part of the game. Alot of players have wanted this option for a long time now and after also hearing about the option to Q as a Duo team with that stipulation, this is heading in the right direction early.
The announcement of the Blue Night Elf Heritage Armor set coming at a future point. I don’t even have plans to go after this set, but when I saw that this color variation was in the game files but wasn’t released, I couldn’t believe it. This is obviously the coolest looking version of the ones shown. Love to see this addressed already.
Did you see those new Tier Set bonuses? Looks amazing. That Frost DK tier set literally saves Frost in my eyes as a PvP player. Now, I am not all that concerned with going after a rework. Just make sure those bonuses get added into the talent tree after this raid tier and it’s a wrap.
I can understand the complaints of a “Druid Tier” not culminating with a Druid Legendary. This probably was a missed opportunity. Nevertheless, I am still pumped to go for the axe.
Lastly, the one miss that did happen, was not announcing more race options for the Druid class with this patch. That would have exceeded some expectations for sure and I would have viewed it as a 10/10.
Still, best patch in recent memory!
