A friend of mine and I want to duo level together while he plays a warrior. These characters will mostly be focused on PvP. I know that warriors pair great with any heals, but we’ll be Horde so I can eliminate paladin right off the bat. I’ll likely already be playing druid (leveling with my son’s rogue) so I’m left with priest or shaman. I was originally thinking shaman for WF procs, but I’m no longer certain. Shaman or priest, and why?
Shaman for PVP. Priest for PVE.
Honestly the best pairing with a warrior is a paladin. Freedom is a warrior’s best friend. I suppose the next best thing would be dispels from a priest.
Priest, until you’re very geared and then just go WFlol on people.
Shaman, hands down…
Windfury…
Any of them really. I used to run with a Druid and it was fine.
Shaman and Paladin would be good choices. I like running with Priests but PW:S is an extra thing to think about sometimes you want it and sometimes you don’t; still great though.
As a warrior, I’d rather a shaman healer in PvP. Windfury is just too good not to pair with a warrior.
i once leveled a shaman with a buddy and he went warrior. it was the most fun we ever had leveling. nobody could touch us pvp wise, and leveling went quick too cause i could heal while he killed everything. i strongly urge you to go shaman!
One of the Faction unique classes.
Rsham for WF totem etc
HPal for freedom etc
I’d say the best partner for a warrior is one that understands a warrior’s lifestyle. Late nights of sitting by the fire, sharping their axe to a fine point. All night spend repainting and polishing their beloved shield. Messy meals with smoked animal meat, freshly killed with previously sharpened axe after a long day of battle on the field, spilling blood.
The warrior needs a partner who is OK with a chaotic lifestyle. A lifestyle of uncertainty. A lifestyle where everyday they don’t know if their warrior is going to come home, or if they’re going to hear of their death on the battlefield.
A warrior needs a parter who is strong - both physically and mentally. Someone who can tuck their axe and shield onto its stand, while the warrior lays before a fire, too exhausted to do anything. A partner who can soothe their wounds. Wounds that are mental as well as physical.
A warrior may seem like a brute. A barbarian. But a warrior’s true temperament is that of love and compassion. They fight not because they are an animal and a savage - but because they love and care so much for those around them that they go out day and night to protect them. They do not sharpen their axe out of anger, but out of love. They do not paint their shield to create fear, but as a show of pride to their clan. To their tribe.
Love is the true motto of any warrior. Love in that they would die to protect those around them at a moment’s notice.
A warrior needs a strong, compassionate and thoughtful partner.
The best partner for a warrior is one that truly understands what a warrior really is.
Not really useful, but a great reply nevertheless!
nha, shamans totems contradict, is windfury good, yes… but i rather have freedom of moment, heals, kings, and this from a healer i know is in plate that can insta full my or their hits, or bubble, while i tear them a new one… paladin and warrior that know what their doing, is a nightmare wrecking machine, ooh and if the paladain is dwarf, their also imune to fear
I know paladins make amazing partners for warriors, but they aren’t an option as we’ll be on Horde.
you have a point there… !
Horde doesn’t have paladins, so paladin is off the table right away. Also, you’re thinking of dwarf priests for Fear Ward. You can fear dwarf paladins.
Except in PVE your competing for the same loot. I would go with the Priest.
In PvE I would go with Shaman due to Windfury. In PvP I am less sure. Shamans are nice, but they can’t dispel all the roots and crap enemies will put on you, whereas Priests can.
