Best OP Torghast Anima Powers

Hope this is an acceptable topic. Wondering which cool anima power upgrades you’ve gotten in Torghast that make it a blast (when you’re lucky to get them).

Best one I’ve discovered so far is Corrosive Dosage

I did a level 6 as MIstweaver along with a BM Hunter and was lucky enough to stack 5 of the Corrosive Dosage by the final 1/4 or so. Since her pet always did a great job of grabbing aggro on mobs, I’d just heal it with Vivify every 3 seconds and it would be doing 250% x my Vivify heal amount (~ 3600 base) in damage every 3 seconds. It was sometimes just instant death of mobs on the first cast of Vivify.

We sometimes saw numbers around 20K for the hunter and even 16k (DPS) credited to me as Mistweaver. Fun stuff.

Any other fun mechanics people have discovered?

40% Faster DoT ticks for flameshock on Shaman, then the one where it stacks to 20 and cuts lava lash’s CD in half.

Stack up the first one 2 or 3 times - instant casting ftw.

Then get your Earth Elemental on a 1 minute CD.

I like the 1.5 minutes of invulnerability. I’ve gotten it 2 or 3 times right before the last boss on my mage. It saved me on a run a couple weeks ago, one I would’ve definitely struggled with otherwise.

Dh gets a cool one called Noose something that allows us to take control of whatever mob we imprison.

Words of Incomprehensible Glory (chance of stunning when you deal Holy damage) + Prot Paladin (basically ALL your damage is Holy Damage). Add in Big Clapper (Divine Toll stuns all targets) and Theory of Justice (Hammer of Wrath has a chance to also cast Hammer of Justice on the target). Pretty hard for mobs to fight back when they’re getting stunned/silenced/interrupted/slowed ALL the time.

Scare beast causes maw rats to die 3 seconds after it is cast on them is the most OP imo.

immune to all damage for a minute and half

I like the one that turns mobs into household objects because it’s funny.

Most OP wasn’t a single power, but like 6 that all made Moonfire more badass. I got the one that has the uber moonbeam fall at every 20th tick, the one that flat increases damage of moonfire, the one that increases damage when you have three DoTs on the target, and one that has a chance to heal with every moonfire tick.

All together I really could just moonfire spam my way through. It was just like the good old days, lol

The best one I have put together as WW was a 6 second cooldown Touch of Death that hit up to 4 targets.

It took multiple lucky drops to get it that way, but it was a ton of fun.

Ele shaman.

On my resto shaman, I’ve gotten the following combination: power that makes flame shock more effective x2 (max), power that makes bloodlust give 15% more haste x 2 (max), and another power that gives me ascendance when i pop bloodlust. The layer 5 boss melted! It was glorious getting constant lava burst procs and out dpsing my unholy dk hubby by a large margin

Negation Well - greatly increase the power of your jumps.

I got these in Skoldus Halls a while back. Thought they were useless but just something whimsical. The description is accurate. Each jump is like 30 yards. And cannot jump in place. You always travel.

Last boss was Warden Skoldus. The dude riding a mount that charges you. Couldn’t beat him. I think this was a layer 4 or 5.

Down to my last 2 deaths before I realized I could just jump around and kite him and cheese the fight. Took forever to deal damage while hopping around. But I also wasn’t taking any damage. LOL. I must have hopped around for more than 5 mins.

Boss was enraged but still couldn’t touch me. Unfortunately, I mis-timed a jump and he one shot me. Then on my last life, I just couldn’t focus on kiting him anymore. Died and failed the run. My hands were exhausted from all the jumping/kiting and I couldn’t stop laughing.

Distract adds high powered explosives to everyone in the AoE. Wipes out most trash instantly does a nice number to floor bosses.

Not on a rogue, best they get is Jack of All Trades.

Scratched Knife is the best thing I’ve found for warrior, as it basically just lets me not have to deal with bosses at all. Bosses are, by and large, the worst part about Torghast.

i love getting the one that increases health and damage of my demon by 100%, and then another 100% for each floor climbed till the demon dies. its even better when you get it on the first floor, and get a couple extra +50% health or damage ones.

i had a run this week, where by the time i got to the boss, my VW had about 230k health, and his aoe was hitting for about 3.5k. talk about a tank…

OP is kind of sus…

The best one I get that is somewhat common is +50% dmg during convoke the spirits. In cat form without that it does about 1/4 the end bosses health, and it’s pretty normal for me to get 2-4 stacks on a run. Many times the boss at the end just dies before convoke finishes.

Also there is a feral druid one that makes you do 50% more dmg if you have 3 dot effects on the target, but it is fairly rare.

I’ve heard guildies talk about some crazy powers that really amp your dmg then you die if you don’t win the fight fast enough.

also the wackiest power I have seen was a chance on arcane dmg to instantly kill non-elites, moonfire spam was silly with that one.
