Best mouse for WoW

Whats is the best mouse for players who raid and do mythic + content in today computer market?

Thatā€™s hugely personal choice. So you like an mmo mouse for all the thumb buttons or do you prefer keyboard binds.

ive got the Logitech g600, and at least on my iMac, it justā€¦ stopsā€¦ and I have to unplug and plug it back in. it also decides which mode I should be in on its moodsā€¦ soā€¦ be aware of that, lol  but I know hazelnutty has been using one for years on her pc and I dunno if its an issue for windows users.

I use the 3x4 grid layout on screen to match the buttons on the side
then I have the mouse wheel down set to shift, left wheel tilt to alt, right wheel tilt to control.
then I have a 5x4 grid also on screen. 5 because 1-5 is easy for me to reach. and a row for 1-5, shift+1-5, alt+1-5, ctrl+15. so I can use the mod keys on the mouse and easy access 1-5 with left hand. seems to be my fav way ive played the game so far, and no more mousclicking the right side of my power bars

I would recommend nothing less than a 12 button mouse for wow. The steelseries rival 500 looks good.

I tried all 3 major MMO mice the Razer Naga, Logitech G600, And Corsair Scimitar. I have to personally say the Naga Trinity would be my choice.

For me I need an optical sensor its less of a factor for an MMO mice but Laser sensors have been proven to be less accurate.
The Naga has 12 Side buttons, Tilt Wheel, and an Optical sensor.
The G600 has a laser sensor 12 side buttons, tilt wheel, a extra 3rd face button.
THe Corsair the same 12 side buttons and has an optical sensor but lacks a tilt wheel which matters on an mmo mouse because the tilt wheel are actually two very useful bindable buttons.

All Three are very good mice the G600 Is showing its age its design has been the same since at least 2010 without any changes its a good design and can be found for under 20 dollar new on sale but the laser sensor is really old and its ergonomic arenā€™t great it the mice i feel like iā€™m playing with a huge puck the most.

The Corsair Software to bind keys was always buggy and crashing on me and it took me forever to get binds to save on its onboard memory. I had some binds manually setup on the software driver level but it had a tendency to crash midgame and reset my binds to default before i changed the defaults saved on the onboard memory. Once i got it working it felt alright but in the end I just found that after long gaming sessions the Naga felt more comfortable and the side buttons felt more comfortable to use.

Theres also a Steelseries Rival 500 which is marketed as an MMO mice too its buttons arent setup in a side grid but it has some people who seem to like it. I havenā€™t used it so i canā€™t comment on it.

I have a Razer Naga Trinity. Itā€™s awesome - itā€™s got all the bells and whistles youā€™d expect for a mouse designed for a game like WoW and I certainly canā€™t imagine playing WoW without it but lately Iā€™ve been having double-clicking issues with the left mouse button. And this is a brand new mouse that I just bought this February.

So while itā€™s awesome, Iā€™m not sure much can be said about the quality control. But then again, all these gaming mice are probably using the same Chinese-made Omron switches regardless of which brand you use.

Iā€™m thinking of getting a G600 as maybe itā€™s gonna be a longer-lasting mouse in the long run and while Logitech arenā€™t immune to those double-clicking issues, I have a feeling that it may last longer than my Naga Trinity, durability-wise.

Has it? The difference between the two is the nature of the light theyā€™re using to image the surface - both use optical sensors (likely even the same sensors), but a laser uses fixed-pattern light (typically in the IR range these days) vs the scattered light (typically red) of an LED system. I could only really see a ā€œopticalā€ (ie Non-laser) being of benefit on glossy-but-not-reflective surfaces, but otherwise the two should be identical.

Itā€™s a shame, really, that solving most of those would take little more than a ground bleed resistor on each switch. But you can sometimes remedy it by unplugging the mouse (turning it off if wireless) and holding/clicking the buttons a bit for 30 seconds or so to discharge anything in the switch (done that twice now). Otherwise, yeah, you gotta crack that thing open, and those copper tabs are a pain to get back in (done that, too).

For WoW it was always the Logitech G600 for me. Amazon had it on sale like a week ago too. Unlike all the older go to peripherals, the Logitech G600 has dropped in pricing.

Is it still worth it to buy a G600 today in 2020? It was my first option but then I realized that itā€™s kinda old - thatā€™s what pushed me to go for the Naga Trinity instead, thinking itā€™s ā€˜newer techā€™ and thus, ā€˜betterā€™. Then again, I have a G500s that I ā€˜keep aliveā€™ using Omron switches but itā€™s still my favorite non-MMO gaming mouse.

Also, Iā€™m not sure if Logitech will release a new wired MMO mouse soon. Does anyone have news about that?

I had a g600 like 3 or so years ago

Fell apart on me in 1 year, double clicks were constantly an issue

I now use a Corsair schimatar and never went back since

I have a G600 thats about 5ish years old now. I went through two defectives before getting one that worked. That said I love the mouse. Its flat worthless for anything other than mmos and other hotbar games but it does its job well. If you play other games especially fps ones grab yourself another mouse for those.

I wish they would update it as its becoming hard to find in some countries and my last one is starting

Logitech build quality is where itā€™s at IMO. they have an amazing G305 and G703 that are more standard, or they have the 502 if you want more buttons.

My personal choice is the Corsair Scimtar Pro, 12 buttons on the side. Plus I also use a Logitech G13 on the left so for an additional 22 buttons which I for movement + strafe keys. Takes gaming keybinds to a whole new level.

As someone who picked up a 12 button earlier in the year, I gotta say I was a bit sour about the decision early on and thought I would get used to it and learn to love it.

That simply hasnā€™t happened.

If I could rebind the 7-12 mapping to other keys natively, so click 10-12 would be mouse 3-5 equivalent, Iā€™d probably be more open to it. But without tweaking the hardware interface via driver software, Iā€™ve actually lost keys (forward and back mouse being huge).

I guess I expected more interactivity with more buttons, but theyā€™re just redundancies.

I use a Corsair Scimitarā€¦ Couldnā€™t play the game without it at this point

I am using a Logitech G502.

Doesnā€™t have a lot of buttons, but the ones it has are placed well.
