I’ve done keys, raid bosses, killed rares and collected packs and dirt’s when I can find them, and I still have no sparks. Anyone know of the best method to farm these, as I feel like I should of gotten one by now.

bump. have done every weekly event and also done over 100 dirt piles and dozens of rares the last 2 weeks and gotten nothing. this is legit slower than the original system.

I had a bottled essence for the cobalt weekly spell summoned rare, showed on map like a daily quest.

I got one from an Expedition Scout Pack last week - I think we’re only supposed to find one every few weeks. So you might just be on the unlucky end of that.
blizzard stealth nerfed that and didnt say anything, people were finding them in scout packs and dirt piles tuesday/wednesday last week and then no one reported finding them in those containers after that. it all came from rares and the occasional dungeon/raid boss. this thread is clearly asking for clarity since blizzard refuses to provide any
Yeah, just sucks though that they didn’t add in, so far at least, a method to obtain them like in the biweekly quests we were doing previously.

They’re RNG, there is no “best way” to get them. Just do things.

Yes. 2 today. Cobalt Assembly and Expedition Scout Pack. Learn what RNG is before you get aggressive with people. There is no ‘best way’ for you to be handed these known rare materials on a silver platter.

yes, 2 guildies got them from dirt today.
Cries of stealth nerfs with nothing to back that besides your own luck is the real L here.

How did you get them from the cobalt assembly? Didn’t know that was a valid method to obtain them.
rares, dirt, packs, and chests (I got one from a djardin chest in waking shores) bosses, etc. Pretty much everything but tuskar boxes
Rares there have a chance. After completing the 5th spark you’ll get the Extractor or whatever. Basically all that does is show on your map an additional rare icon. There are often lots at the Assembly and especially during Storms.
The extractor seems to apply to most rares, and Assembly has a high concentration as well as Obsidian Citadel.
