Best Magical Fantasy Forests in WoW

Yeah it’s a weird vibe currently. Many of the trees in the lore are suppose to be unique with golden leaves. Trying to show “yellow” leaves back then with those graphics will just give a full autumn look.

Crystal song forest below Dalaran.

Whatever the vibe is, I actually think the Blood Elf starting areas are peak Warcraft zones. Good aesthetics, good music, good lore - it has it all imo.

Eversong, a beautiful Fall vibe, Crystalsong, and Zangamarsh. The old art is showing it’s age, but still manages to feel mysteriously magical.

Feralas for sure!

Can never forget the sunsets and that Legend of Zelda Vibe the zone gives off!

Tirisfal still the best for several reasons.

Sucks they had to ruin it. But that’s true for all of Shadowlands.

… I still enjoy roaming STV looking for prey on my Druid though. Brings back a nostalgia vibe of PvP realms and protecting the vale.

Indeed it does. The Forests of Ashenvale, Teldrassil, Feralas, Winterspring, Darkshore, Felwood and Moonglade all retain the Magic they had in the past even as the new Zones proved themselves more mysteriously magical.

Outside of WoW the only Magical Fantasy Forests I know of are Zelda Wind Waker’s Forest Haven with it’s Dungeon the Forbidden Forest, it’s Ocarina of Time Counterpart the Kokiri Forest(whose most magical portion is the Kokiri, Fairies & Deku Tree) and Guild Wars Prophecies’s Maguuma Jungle and the Forests(not the Farmlands) of Pre-Searing Ascalon.

Beyond that I haven’t seen any Magical Forests in Video Games that comes close to what WoW has!

Magical Areas in general yes but Magical Forests?..

Tirisfal is Gothic Horror not Magical Fantasy!

You have to see it before it fell. And a lot of that history is sitting underneath of that, very much alive.

Ardenweald had fairies and sparkles I say that was a magically fantasy forest.

Eversong Woods has such a vibrant and living color pallete, accompanied by the sunshafts which filter through the lovely, autumn like leaves that it will forever be my favorite fantasy magic forest.

I’ve seen the Place during Cataclysm and I assure you it was Gothic Horror since it first appeared in WoW.

Before that it and Silverpine presumably were no different from Hillsbrad Foothills, Grizzly Hills, Elwynn Forest, Howling Fjord, Lower Mount Hyjal, Azure Span, Stranglethorn Vale, Stormheim, Suramar’s Forests outside of the City, Zuldazar, Nazmir, Spires of Arak, Tanaan Jungle and Tiragarde Sound: Seemingly ordinary Forests lacking in outright wonder and awe where you wouldn’t notice the Magic just from looking at the surface.

The best Magical Fantasy Forests are the ones where the Magic is right in front of you which include Mount Hyjal’s Summit(the top half of the map where the Water glows radiantly), Teldrassil, Darkshore, Ashenvale, Felwood, Moonglade, Winterspring, Feralas, Un’Goro Crater, Eversong Woods, Zangarmarsh, Crystalsong Forest, Sholazar Basin, Jade Forest, the Blademoon Bloom of Shadowmoon Valley, the Evermorn Springs of Gorgrond, Val’sharah, Ardenweald and the Emerald Gardens of Ohn’ahran Plains.

It’s fine that you enjoy elves lol

Felwood for me.

Blademoon Bloom from Shadowmoon Valley isn’t an Elven Forest and it is Magical Fantasy in my opinion as is the Jade Forest.

Blademoon Bloom even looks like the sort of place a Tauren would live! It looks like old Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas. Tauren are supposed to represent the natives of Canada(my beloved homeland I am native to) and USA so a place resembling Grandmother Willow should be the perfect place for Tauren to make into their perfect Magical Fantasy Forest!

Here’s hoping that Blizzard gives the Tauren a beautiful Magical Willow Forest for them to inhabit.

Crystalsong forest

I still think you’re looking at Tirisfal as a post-Forsaken industrial park and not as Tirisfal, the shadow-touched grove.

Just thinking about constantly getting Highmountain Antlers stuck on a willow tree is making me cringe. I’m mad when I wear a hat that gets stuck or catches something funny—can’t imagine how frustrating if it was my head being constantly ensnared by my home.

Ashenvale!

The Jade Forest!!

Terrokar Forest with Inky Black Potion!

Elwynn Forest!
