Consider key-binding remove curse at some point.

Just press arcane explo, pve/ pvp, aoe and single target.
Don’t even need to spec.
For PvE, dungeons and raids until Phase 4: Arcane with 20 points in frost.
Phase 5 and beyond: deep fire.
Deep fire is the premier DPS spec in the game, able to do warrior-like damage on high gear levels while having 41 yards of range to work with. The problem is that all of that is irrelevant until BWL stops being your primary source of gear.
you dont even need to keybind it, decursive is working now.
Probably assasination, arms, or water fountain.
EDIT for seriousness:
Arcane and Frost are powerful for Ony/MC/BWL.
Once ZG and AQ hit you can spec to fire.
That’s all I know, because I did not main a mage until Cata.

One you come up with yourself. Play whatever you want.
Arcane is the top dps build for pve.
Fire after AQ launches. Mostly because fire Immunity is bwl/MC/Ony dragons.
Frost is good too, but doesn’t have power of arcane mage.
Until fire becomes viable.
