"Best in bag"

I’ve been looking at improving some things. I’ve come across Mr. Robot before back during reforging days. Anyway, now they some service where they sift your bags or w/e and tell you the optimal gear you have based on your stat weights.

First, is that against the EULA?
Second, is that something people use? Is it objectively “worth” it in terms of assessing optimization of your character?

No

People use it but I wouldn’t use it exclusively. It’s just another tool to help with gearing and as such, shouldn’t be used as a be all, end all type of thing.

Good point. I see other options. I ask because Mr. Robot requires real-world money for the service and that’s what had me kind of iffy about it in the first place in terms of legitimacy.

It’s called Simcraft, and it’s completely free to use. Works with the Raidbots site.

There is a paid service to let you skip the line when a lot of people are simming (happens about when you’d expect, Vault Day and Saturdays around raid time etc) but you don’t need to pay at all. Here is a quick and easy guide:

Note that Simcraft doesn’t just work with what’s in your bag, it can even tell you which of the items in your vault is the most worth taking when used in combination with all your other gear. I highly recommend getting familiar with simming!
