Best Horde Server?

Hello,
Subjective title and such, but I’ve noticed alliance peeps leaving my home server Dalaran, for Stormrage. That seems to be the ‘pro’ server for raiding/progression purposes. Guessing there is just more of a dedicated population to choose from.

What would the horde equivalent be… A52? Thrall?
Mostly just looking for a guild to run mythics with, people whom I can learn from, and maybe even make some friends.

Or am I misguided? Does server/community not matter for mythics?

For horde i would say Area 52 by far.

I like it there.b

Just have to watch out for expansion release or some major patch days. Queues can be a thing.

I like Bleeding Hallow.

Zuljin is predominantly horde. Im not sure if we have the big guilds like we once did, though.

Yea deffo, ever since I could get off my low pop server back in Wrath I did and never looked back at that risk of being a login queue.

Peak DF I don’t recall waiting to login, just on the Battle.net launcher.

turalyon #1 server.

I would say your time frame is most important.

If you can play East Coast times, Area 52 has the highest Horde pop. Lost of opportunities for guilds and groups.

But if you are strictly West Coast, Tich or Hyjal would be your best bets.

I think Illidan and Zuljin are somewhere in between as far as time zones.

area 52 illidan malganis are the 3 best horde servers

Depends on what you’re after. A52 has a healthy Horde side, but if you’re looking for RP experiences Wyrmrest Accord is the best in that regard. Some of us folk ain’t all that bad at the game sometimes too.

Area 52. But such as you played on Dalaran, then I recommend Thrall, Thrall is more of your laid-back chill server that caters both to end game and even casual play. You can go to Area 52 for this, but in my opinion, being on Area 52 for a couple of years, I see a difference between the two servers. Area 52 is more for pushing high-end content and dedicated players that want to progress, while Thrall is the best of both worlds but slightly more on the casual side (depending on your guild)

Area 52 is slightly one of the more toxic servers out there, too; a lot of jerks. This doesn’t bother me personally just because I can handle it. But if you can’t, or don’t like toxicity, I’d recommend Thrall.

Thrall on the other hand is a very friendly server from what I’ve experienced, lots of nice people. it has a mixture of end-game guilds and guilds that are social but are also there for a fun time and trying to go end-game.

So overall, it depends on what you’re after. I love Area 52. Personally, it’s a great server. I also love Thrall too, but for what I want in WOW Area 52 is definitely the realm I would go for any day.

So Area 52 is the largest. One thing of note, those servers from a technical standpoint offer the biggest challenges. Notably on expansion and patch launches.

I’d suggest Mal’Ganis, Thrall, or Zul’jin.

Mal’Ganis has a lot of chat trolls but they’ve been around for a long time, so it’s easy to recognize them in chat.

I appreciate the detailed and expanded response! I was a bit worried with A52. PUG’s from that server did seem to be a bit more… upset at mistakes or ‘less than perfect’ runs. I guess you can call it toxic, but i’m used to it by now. Obvi can’t judge a whole server from my PUG exp, but good to know A52 folk strive for top tier content as a general.

Thrall does seem a bit more my speed - I’m mostly looking for a community/guild and to run some semi serious mythics (nothing past the 20’s should I get that high). I don’t have the time/schedule for raid nights, but still want to do ‘end game’ content.

Illidan and Area 52 are the top two I know of. I’ve been on Illidan forever.

I was on thrall for awhile and god my alliance slayer title there. but i’ve been away for so many years I was curious how the war mode scene was. it felt good when I was there. a lot of fun and mostly balanced would you say that’s still the case

RP is Wrymrest Accord.
