Best Horde race for priest?

I don’t spend a lot of time healing, so I wanted to change up and try that for a while. I really don’t like Paladins healing that much, so I thought I’d try priest instead. I am just unsure of what race to pick. I was thinking Goblin because of their boost in haste and rocket belt, as well as alchemy boost, but I wanted to know from experts which race you have had the best luck with.

The numbers are so similar that it comes down to (from an absolute minmax perspective) trying to counter a priest’s great weakness: lack of mobility.

That’s why (after they tell you it doesn’t matter, play what you want) most guides will say Void Elf for alliance and Goblin for Horde.

Now there is another contender in the mix: Dracthyr.

I went Void Elf and while their little teleport is rarely ever desperately needed, in those highly situational, niche moments, it is really nice to have. I do not play my priest at the highest levels of difficult content, no where near it, but I like the extra trick up my sleeves. I think the goblin rocket jump might be better. Can’t comment on Dracthyr mobility for priests but this is the one I really want to try.

TL/DR: Dracthyr (I am so tempted to roll another priest).

Dracthyr is hands down the best race for pve, imo.

If this is for pve, I’d say troll for the haste boost

Edit: My mind went straight to sp, even though you said healer. In that case I have no idea.

While I main a void elf and love my void rift teleport and use it probably more frequently than I should; I’d guess that Dracthyr is objectively best at the moment. My horde alt priest is a nightborne (tricked out as a drow matron mother/spider theme), but if I were making a recommendation to a friend, I think Dracthyr is the way. The mobility is just too spicy to pass up.

So with the update that we just got about shadows tier set in season 2, being able to stack Power infusion up to 30 seconds now with the tier set procs, one would think a very very niche usage for Trolls would be ideal, to consistently have large haste windows
