What’s a good Allied Race for a DK?
Highmountain tauren, Mag’har orcs, Zandalari trolls & maybe Dark iron dwarves.
The most intimidating by far will be Highmountain Tauren DK.
That or female Mag’har orc with mohawk ponytail. They always look badA

Nightborne actually wouldnt be bad as some of your racials kinda line up with Dks. I’m pretty sure your ranged spells would benefit from the 1% magic bonus

Vulpera. Being killed by an unholy vulpera dk ruined my pride for a while, more so than flag of gg’s do.

Competitively: HMT have the best racials, not even close.
Aesthetically: Mag’har, but baseline orcs look as good with better racials. I’d go with Nightborne as second option.

Vulpera for sure.
Honestly though Zandalari build makes them look really good as DK. I was making one simply to get the heritage armour and I was playing just to get rid of it and make Vulpera (because grey/white Vulp looks great as DK) but upon making the Zandalari I began to question whether I should change it or not.
I’ve been trying to decide on one too, and am probably gonna go with Nightborne. Maghar are tempting too though

I’d say Zandalari. Though I did make mine Nightborne, because I don’t have Zanda unlocked. He looks kinda swank, but I prefer Zanda, I think.
I almost made a Vulpera DK. And then I looked at it in character creation and went, “… nope.”

A) Only Zandalari are above HMT in those charts.
B) An instant mobility tool like Bull Rush has even more value on a slow class like DK. More uptime = more damage.
Not wrong I guess, seems weird but that’s just how garbage most of the Horde Allied Race racials are because of “Horde bias” lol

Alliance has it’s share of trash racials: Dark Iron and Lightforged. Mechagnome has nice passives but the active one isn’t even worth a key bind. KT have nice passives but the active is basically a worse version of Bull Rush. Velf anti spell knockback is overrated (spell knockback is barely noticeable to begin with), rift is nice but very situational (I wish I had bull rush or rocket jump instead).

Dark Iron isn’t super bad is it? I remember when they had to nerf that dungeon speed one a bit as people were planning on almost exclusively running it for M+ lol.
Zanda In plate looks pretty sweet

Reasons why other races don’t make the mark:
Troll: Looks bad in plate.
Tauren: Fur ruins the undead look.
Undead: Are already undead.
Blood elf: Too pretty.
Goblin: Too small.
Any allied race/Pandaren: Don’t have dk-specific customization options.
They have no damage passive and Fireblood is so situational and the buff is so small that even Vulpera are simming above DI.
They overdid it with the nerfs to both Fireblood and Dungeon Delver.
