Best healer class for end game?

title, id ask in the healing role forum but such forum doesnt appear to exist.

Would potentially be doing fully pve based content and or mythic+ once leveled but for right now im curious what class is best for end game level healing.

Holy pally brings extra damage and a big cooldown in ashen.

With priest, so you can switch between specs so you get two in one for a healer. Don’t go priest if tryhards begging for PI bugs you.

Raiding? Mistweaver can pump, but has a higher skill cap in m+. They lack a lot if the utility that other healers bring like bres, lust, PI, etc. Pure throughput healer.

Druids are ok all around but not necessarily exceptional at one job. Good all-rounder, with some utility like trees, bres, vortex and good mobility.

Shamans bring great utility, and with lust you will be picked for m+ easier.

As a tank, I feel like you can get away with being mediocre at holy priest and druid, but a bad disc priest or resto shaman is incredibly painful.

If you are looking for something great for m+ and raid I would suggest holy paladin. They bring a natural 3% raid wide damage reduction aura that is a must for any serious guild, the most damage out of all the healer specs which is great for m+, an immunity for when things get nasty and a great set of utility with their blessings.

ive played every class and have multiples as well but ideally id be making this toon healer as out of the horde alts i have already none of them are healers except for my lvl 80 paladin er 30 i spose now with the squish but other than that i dont have any other healer toons yet, and nothing for endgame.

Resto Druid does not have trees FYI

Yeah, that was an unclear sentence. Was referring to the utility they bring in a general sense. Hat tip.

Ahhh gotcha. Honestly though if resto Druid had trees they would move up on healer meta no doubt lol

Resto Shaman

Same problem with mist. They’re both pumping throughput healers, but lack the stronger damage reduction cooldowns that can clutch the big pulls in m+.

  1. Holy Paladin
  2. Restoration Shaman

Both of these classes are great in keys and great in raid.

  1. Disc Priest

Great in raid, not great in keys (compared to Holy Paladin and Restoration Shaman).

Raid teams will take you if you’re any of these three classes. M+ puggers usually only want first two.

what horde races would you suggest for either of those classes, if shaman im guessing troll but for hpal maybe tauren?

Never underestimate a panda with double food buff and an extra interrupt.

Shaman, troll or goblin (rocket jump is cheesy, 1% static haste)

Paladin it’s between BE (aoe purge, 1% crit) and Tauren (aoe stun, health), both are pretty good.

Resto druids ARE the trees!!!

Resto druids should get an extra 500g in the mail each week as a carbon capture bonus

No contest, paladin. They been dominant for two expansions. Equal to priest for raid, strongest m+ healer by far.

ummm i’m gonna vote druid

priests look really cool too since they cast a lot of glowy stuff in the end game
