Best gold farming class (phase 5)

I know this has been asked before, but it seems to change somewhat during different phases. As of right now, I like to do stealth DME runs picking up herbs and chests. The gold is decent, but I’m curious what the best farming class would be right now. Assuming the character would be made to exclusively farm, and thus won’t be raiding for gear etc.

Just to note, I know the answer is Mage, and it will probably always be the mage, however, I have no interest in leveling or playing a mage. What do you think would be the next best thing? Are DME runs on a Rogue pretty comparable to everything else?

A credit card with a solid fraud protection.

Resto shaman.

Run gdkp aq40 weekly and earn around 2k gold a week for 2 hours of work. Technically any class could do this, just that because of aq mechanics favoring shaman totems (like visc specifically) , and a general lack of healers, resto sham likely has the hands down easiest time finding groups.

literally will always be mage, yeah with other classes you can do some cheesy once a week farms and make a lot of gold per time invested but for raw gold making per hour every hour of the day its going to be mage.

There’s allegedly a great druid/rogue solo farm in AQ. Check out on youtube - I know I’ve seen it but I can’t really look atm.

You’re an idiot. Most servers aren’t going to have that many successful gdkp runs on aq40. Most of the desirable items come from bosses that won’t be clearable with pugs.

Pretty much this. The rich just keep getting richer

Pretty sure it still should be hunter if mage is off the table. DMT runs should still be able to pull 100g+/hr easily and selling buffs early in the week (Mon/Tues) especially during DMF week can make surprising amounts of gold with almost no effort.

I think this means “AOE Frost Mage”. Those are the ones that boost, by soloing low-level dungeons using AOE. Arcane/Fire mages? Nope.

you sound like a terrorist

Awesome fun.

Depends how well it is organised.
The last AQ40 gdkp I went cleared it in 1h40min.
Engineering is required, GNPP and Poison elixirs are paid by raid. Flasks are paid by raid for tanks and mages. EZ

I leveled this Rogue, and even though I could make gold every day, I always had to buy 20 poisons of each type, blind powders, make grenades, but Health pots, makes Thistle tea and buy food to eat.

I would spend 15 gold a day on random items, I started leveling a Mage now 35 and I noticed I have 47 gold at level 35 whereas my Rogue at 35 had probably 7 gold!

Mages teleporting, making their own food and water is a MONSTER savings, I mean i never realized it before but buying food and repairing your weapons all the time is costly.

I cannot see anything being as effective and efficient then a Mage!

That’s interesting. Before leveling this toon I leveled a Druid and Warrior. I was way closer to my Epic mount in Rogue as soon as I hit 60 than I ever was in the other two, but I’m not really sure why.

Yea, weird! Maybe because I pvped a ton? Buying pots and making thistle, and FAPS, making 20 of each poison, blinding powders…

Yea that’ll do it! Haha.

I think Druid was the worst. It was my first toon and it felt like every penny I earned went into the skills I got every two levels.

My mage is 41 and Ive already made like 230 gold, I don’t even know how!

I think the buying food and water is much more a gold sink they we thought

For farming gold that doesn’t require selling your services to people who are more likely than not buying gold with a credit card so they can cheese the game, I think it’s mage for AoE farming, followed by hunters and warlocks for soloing instances like DME and Mara for boss drops and herbs/arcane crystals.

Other than that, any class can farm herbs or arcane crystals. Competition outside of instances varies by server, though. There’s also fishing, for which there is no competition, if that’s your thing. Stonescale eels are in big demand.

Finally, if you are a raid-geared dps class that can kill things quickly, you can farm any humanoid elites and make pretty solid gold/hour doing that.

I fish occasionally, but I find it nets me less profit than just farming DM:E herbs/chests/satyrs

Mage. No contest.

There are other classes/methods that can yield good results but mage boosting is by far and away the best gph in the game.

Multiboxers can potentially do more but even they tend to stick to mages.

Aoe is op! Embrace it.
