It would be easier to implement than Dark Ranger/Shadow Hunter and Warden, it would be able to use ranged weapons, and it could justifiably be a hybrid class.
I’m no insider, but I’d say it has more going for it than other ideas, especially bard.

I saw an awesome goblin rogue the other day. One hell of an ankle slicer.
My one and only goblin is a mage.
So… mage!
They make good shaman and locks. My horde main though is a Goblin DK (with the most amazing mog ever to be honest).
I like the goblin shaman “totems.” Little auger drilling rigs with gadgets that indicate the element they represent.
Death Knight.
Nothing is as scary or cute as a 2’ tall little fella with glowing eyes and a gravely voice.
A death knight you say?
I raise dead taller than I
Spreading plague for cash
Yeah, I really did enjoy the class trial for a shaman. (I am somewhat familiar with the class, but just wanted to see how a Goblin female looked when flinging lava and lightning from her fingertips.)
I also created a DK and really liked the appearance that I put together. I likely won’t play one as a DK, though; I tend to prefer, well, taller characters for that class.
Goblin Priests! We got the best heals anywhere!
Warlock…You gain a movement ability you would otherwise have to spend a tallent slot on. Bruning rush is repalced by goblin rocket jump allowing you to take the Armor and gain regen.
If going for the theme of it then Shaman or Priest because the way Goblins embrace those classes is pretty hilarious
And the females do a cute finger wiggle thing.
Me.
I am best goblin class.
Priest, because rocket jump is very useful for them.
I know you said you ruled out hunters, but it is a very natural combination. I love double disengaging with rocket boost. Engineer is also a natural combination. In addition to the bank CD and my repair mammoth, I also have Jeeves, a mailbox, glider tinker, and teleports for all over the place.
I definitely have ruled out hunters; I have them in spades and just don’t feel up to playing another one. Alas.
Tonight, I’ve created a shaman; I already know that I like the class–and I enjoyed watching the Goblin female’s spell animations during the class trial.
That all said, I’ve not ruled out trying warlock, warrior or priest. (I like Aff warlock and have dabbled in the warrior class. Priest is one that I tend to not like as much as I want to. But maybe a Goblin priest is the combo that I’ve needed all along…)
I like goblin shaman girls because they have that beachy vibe with wavy blue hair they are awesome as resto. That is probably terrible reason but hey. especially like BC shaman dungeon set, looks like coconut bra.
My shaman’s hair is white atm; I’m not adverse to her changing it to blue in the future in order to obtain that beachy vibe of which you speak. And one cannot go wrong in terms of sporting a coconut bra.
Hello yes I am Goblin Shammy with blue hair nice to meet you.
You’d be surprised how many people HATE the goblin shammy combo. It’s probably one of the most hated race class combos there is…And this is why I love it. Too bad you said you wouldn’t make a rogue. That’s my other goblin. The female goblins have the best stealth animation in the game.
From reading other threads, I find that Worgen/ Goblin DKs are relatively despised by lore enthusiasts, as are Lightforged Spriests and, of course, Zandalari paladins. I think that we’re in glad company, us outcasts.
The Goblin stealth animation cracks me up, no doubt about it. It’s the fight animations that don’t grab me. (I’ve attempted a rogue several times, always playing a different race. No dice.)
