Got a ton of points just a general player, but going for the higher level mana oils seem like a good option first for self sufficiency there? Just want to have a bit of gold saving for whatever but not sure at this point in the game what would be an optimal path.
Thanks ahead oft ime.
I took that same route on an alt (going for mana oil first) and I actually regret it. A lot of your commonly used gear enchants are in the Everlasting Enchantments tree other than the raid drop ones or you gain points to make ones you buy from reputation vendors. I wish Iād invested in that tree first. This is just my personal opinion.

Enchanting is all about consumables. Your main consumables tab are the everlasting enchants. My way to make gold with it is the concentration tank and using lower ranked/less costy mats, so your next stop to maximize that tank is the shattering tab. You want to use the shatter every enchanting session. Crystaline powder is dirt cheap for the buff it can give you when shattered. So fill that shatter tab asap to boost your procs.
Last but not least, OPEN THE ILLUSIONS! Five KPs, that is all. It opens the wheel and the wheel fill itself with first crafts alone! Illusions are your bread and butter in the patrons orders. Not much other use except for RP maybe, but a major source of AA nonetheless.
Those 3 tabs are fairly easy to open up at the skill up phase and the shatter is pretty much given from opening up the tab, so get it plus the illusions and settle into the main everlasting enchants tab, then the shatter, disenchant and finish the ephemerals last.
At this point its fairly easy to have your rod made by another enchanter that filled the rod wheel, make use of their labor.
