Hi all,
What do you recommend as the best DoT based spec for BG’s
This is for BG’s specifically, randos and rated hopefully if I can get into them. No real desire to hit arenas
I’m thinking Aff, Shadow, or maybe UH DK?
Can’t go wrong with boomy. i know that aff takes a bit for dmge to ramp up. if you are goin lock i would go destro. best spec so far.
Affliction locks are actually currently better due to things like UA.

Good for epics with the meme control/rot build, sure.

So Shadow is garbage? That’s a bummer, it’s prob my favorite of the lot theme wise
Shadow is great. You also got great defensives. Not to mention burst option as you Mind Blast into your Instant Vamp.
Boomy seems to have the most burst rot. But shadow and affy top it sustained wise with full dot build. afffy at the top and spriest is around 85% or so to it in damage. Shadow isnt bad at all in terms of dot damage. just less useful

Convoke boomy with pulsar atm is the strongest aoe rot build. If your pressing starfall i n a battle it susatains about 15k dps which is similar to an aff lock playing perfectly and all you have to do is press starfall and make sure as many people have moonfire/sunfire.
Shadow is more of a support spec in 9.2. You won’t be melting anyone with your dots that have gotten nerfed every single patch, that’s for sure.
Affliction or Boomie for epic BGs/large teamfights, Rogue or Feral Druid for smaller BGs and stealing/backcapping flags in epic BGs
Affliction warlock is the last true DOT spec. You can put out some of the highest spread pressure in the game and have dispel protection through unholy affliction. Every serious RBG team should have one.
Balance druid has DOTs too and massive overall damage. Although the playstyle isn’t centered around DOTs it’s worth mentioning because it’s the best class overall for RBGs. Your DOTs are much easier to apply, you can burst with starsurge or convoke, you can offheal, run flags, and have s-tier control through root/beam and cyclone.

UHDK can pull massive dps with the right build, its quadratic, has no damage limit, is infinitely re-appliable to a group, and is more effective against teams playing a tight formation. it also has the tools and capability to go toe to toe with other melee and even tank epic bosses in a pinch. the disrupter build is also capable of countering all other casters while not being vulnerable to this build itself.
i mean ur aoe pressure is still basically second when it comes to pure sustain. Its no affy but its not useless either lol…
Pretty sure Ele is best Dot Based BG Spec - with the new ascendence mastery build you just rick roll team fights. Aff Ele Boomy UH DK War Rogue is likely one of the top BG Groups. Add A Couple Priests a Hpal and a Bear Druid to finish the comp.
