Best Covenant for Ret Pally?

I thought Kyrian was the best but Bloodmallet seems to have Venthyr ahead at Renown 30 (Theotar the Mad Duke).

Can you please help as I am about to choose the covenant on my pally.

It really depends on what you wanna do, Kyrian is the best all around, good for mythic plus, best for pvp and good in raids.

It also depends what build you wanna do, with executioner sentance build Kyrian pulls ahead for dps.

Will do mainly M+ and would like strong AOE.

Which covenant should I choose ?

It’s perferance really, the dps difference won’t back or break you, I like the one min cd and matter buff from Divine Toll, 4 min for ashen just seems to long for most situations.

Venthyr is better for pure ST fights. Kyrian is better in AoE, M+ in general, and PvP.

For PvE, it’s not a huge difference either way.

A 4 minute cool down isn’t good at all. Divine toll up every minute with ringing clarity conduit will outweigh anything venthtr has to offer. Kyr has tremendous bursts

Yes Ashen Hallow has a long CD, but it also lasts a full 30 seconds and is really, really powerful while it’s up. In fact, it’s so powerful that one cast of Ashen Hallow contributes more total damage than four casts of Divine Toll, when you’re talking about single-target damage.

The gap is not that big, and Kyrian is more flexible in several ways. I’m Kyrian myself. But it is simply not correct to claim that Venthyr isn’t good at all.
