Best class/spec for wife that doesnt game at all

I finally di dit. I convinced my wife to play wow with me.

Now I know shes going to suck and my dream of her being my permanent healer will probably never happen… BUT!

shes willing to try. I think im going to boost her character and let her ride out in low level content to feel like a god for awhile.

My brain tells me that BM hunter is the obvious choice but I want to make sure. I know shes going to be a clicker, the idea of an mmo mouse will probably scare her and the idea of clicking scares me so this is going to be rough.

Not convinced this a good thing. Hunter does sound safe.

BM Hunter, yes. I would not suggest boosting her until she hits 20 or so.

MM Hunter is easier imo because you ditch the pet and only have to focus on yourself while maintaining a huge distance from your enemy

A druid is a great choice to explore a taste.

Let her pick, don’t boost until she’s ready for it, and play -with- her even at lvl 1.

Destruction warlock. Easiest spec in the game.

Do the recruit a friend thing and get prizes too
Oh and BM hunter - sell it as getting a cool pet friend to help her. Then make sure she tames cute stuff. Check petopia for availability of cuteness.

Grats and good luck!

Hunter and Disc priest are both rewarding and easy. Perfect for new gamer wives.

Yes to Hunter.

No to boosting.

You also didn’t specifically state if she plays by laying her face on the keyboard so DH is out.

If she likes swords than maybe Paladin might quench her thirst as she dabbles into the light becoming a shining force of reckoning and very nice survival tools!

And for the love of Thrall, don’t introduce her to the Worgen start zone.

Better yet, should have waited till new starter area.

I think paladin would also be good. Ret is pretty simple and we have good survivability. If she gets tired of that maybe she’ll switch to Holy spec and be your healer

If not pally, then yeah, BM Hunter is good. Who doesn’t like collecting pets? Also, I’ma repeat what others have said. Don’t boost. I think it’s better to level and learn your rotation (as simple as it might be). Not just that, but I know a lotta people don’t feel a connection to boosted characters. I know my boosted feel a lot different from the characters I leveled from scratch.

My other half levelled bm hunter into blood dk and dh in her journey to 120.

I levelled a healer at the same time to support; she found the dh thematically more fun and pressing things on CD felt easier

the dh comment is gold btw.

I guess I wont boost her though

Ask her she might surprise you what she wants to play. just because it’s easy she my not find it fun. Let her pick the race and class then teach her how to best play it.

Beast mastery hunter of course. That class was made before beginners.

Do NOT boost her. That takes away the experience of leveling and connecting and building those first ever time leveling moments that are some of the best memories you can make int the game. And it’s overall better for learning how to play the game and your class better.
