So as you probably know Hunters are way too overpowered in BGs’. You have a tiny chance to get them before the rapid fire you or aim shot you to death. I am curious as to what you think are the top ways to deal with them? What strategies do you have? What class provides the best results for handling Hunters?
Stealthies do pretty well
Aside from that it has to be a coordinated effort
As a mage? It’s pretty much impossible
this is an old character i don’t really play, so Rogue and Feral Druid are the best shot at taking care of Marks/BM Hunters.
Feral is prob your best best, it’s very hard for an MM to deal with a good feral druid
Night elf in particular
You can shadowmeld the sniper/rapidfire
Night elf in general will do wonders for you if you’re close. You see sniper shot go out, meld, and you take 0 damage.
What about Warriors’ with the charges?
You cant charge a good hunter
They scatter shot you mid charge/leap, and then binding, and it’s joever
Crumby hunter sure, then you face jellybeans and you feel like he’s playing a class from year 2090
Does picking the top race for feral druid in RBG make that much of a difference? I know NE has probably the best racials as a druid. I am thinking of making a feral horde, but i am not a huge fan of Tauren druids.
If your soul purpose is dealing with MM hunters and you’re not a nelf, you’re trolling
Night elf is beyond broken in bgs, allows for so many outplays. You can meld/eat, meld massive burst from destros, entire MM goes, meld/mount, and even use it as a vanish
i cannot stand NE, sorry. I guess its a lose lose situation for me. I like to play on the faction with less people.
Yea I wish they would make racials less impactful too. I’m sure you could make it work without, it’s just going to a massive reason win you 20% of your 1v1’s vs a hunter
I want so badly to be a space goat, then I shadowmeld sniper/rapidfire during saltwater with Pi and think
I can’t switch off
ok, thank you for the information
You can’t take both Scatter and Binding, they’re on the same node. It’s one or the other.
This works best if you’re melee, but I’ll get right on them and smack them until they’re forced to turtle.
When they turtle I follow them around like a lost puppy (this really pisses them off lol) and when the shell comes off…BOOM! Out comes my IWIN macro and they no longer exist.
Most hunters are dumb AF and sit max range while their allies get murdered. You’re better off playing something like an spriest or afflock and eating damage while you murder the enemies frontline. Bait the hunters by running into their range popping a cooldown etc. and outranging them at key moments. Once you’ve turned the tide of the fight and 2-3 of the enemies have gone down your team can push and the hunters burst will be irrelevant.
Trying to focus hunters who sit max range is a lost cause and instead requires more tactical retreats from your own team. To keep them locked on only one or two targets at a time.
Oddly enough it’s the survival hunters that are the most dangerous, but they are also the hardest to play and that’s why you don’t see many of them. I tried playing one, and they have a million keybinds. And the playstyle is so different then almost every other class I played. I just couldn’t stick with it.
Multiple hunters, multiple ccs
Binding is an AOE
You’re not touching a good hunter as a warrior
They have a 70 yard range
to even touch them I need to burn all my gap closers
the whole toolkit comes together in a way that it destroys random casuals.
Here I play a hunter for 20 years now and they are still sloooow. They are stunned 50% of the time. The tin foil mail armor might as well be cloth. To get good dps you still need to shoot from the back. In PvP traps are near useless less explosive trap. Maybe use a hunter in winter grasp to knock out turrets at the base. Sneaking around is detected by certain classes…… a half a— Rogue is todays hunter….
