Hey all. I’m looking to level my second 60 soon. I want something that can really hold their own in wPvP solo. I’m considering this Rogue or a DH. I will even consider a prot spec if it’s godly. I do not want to play feral. I don’t enjoy Druid.
I feel like most people will say rogue and that’s true somewhat. I think you can make whatever work depending on how ingenious you are with your class. I honestly say that THE world pvp class is Hunter though.
DH and Rogue are two very good options. Probably the two I’d recommend other than Druid, which you’ve excluded.
It depends on what style of WPVP you’re interested in.
DH is good at brawling and engaging in back to back fights. You can traverse the map insanely well, especially if there’s vertical elements e.g. on a cliff.
Your self-sustain is S tier, you’ll always be refreshed. It’s hard to catch a DH with their pants down.
Rogue on the other hand is amazing at picking your fights and playing the role of an ambusher on a victim.
The issue with Rogue is it is very CD orientated. You can get caught with your pants down by either not having vanish up or getting caught out of stealth.
I’ve never played a DH myself, just played verse them.
I have done WPVP on a Rogue though. All I’ll say is Assass Rogue WPVP in BFA was the most fun I’ve had in WoW. I’ve not played it in SL, but the core concept is the same.
Play what you enjoy. The fact of the matter is, for 99% of the population, players will not hit thresholds where the minor differences between classes will be the contributing factor to why a player loses a battle in PvP. For the average player, every spec is viable. Play what you enjoy, and practice.
Thanks, this is what I’m looking for. Seems I’ve narrowed it down to some good options. I’m leaning toward DH because it seems easier. I’m not happy about having to play a blood elf, but I was able to make mine look a bit less flamboyant. I might level both and see which one I feel more comfortable with. I haven’t taken rogue seriously since MoP.
I hear prot pally is pretty cheese in wPvP. Is that still true ?
Well, that’s an interesting point, because most of the time the world PvP result is simply whichever side has more player participating in the fight wins.
