Hey all, recently started playing classic again and my buddy is gonna boost a character up to 60 for me.
I’m trying to get a decent amount of gold before TBC, so was wondering what would be my best bet for farming gold assuming a fresh level 60 in about a week?
I was thinking maybe a healer for GDKP runs since I don’t see myself being able to gear super quick? And I think by the time my gear would be decent enough to boost on a mage/etc it would be too late.
The other thing I was thinking of was selling portals since I do have 3 WoW accounts (from retail). Although having a level 60 warlock for summoning seems kind of wasted potential (unless people bring undergeared locks into GDKP runs for the summons?)

You’re not going to make gold off a fresh 60 from GDKP. Nobody is going to take a poorly geared player to a GDKP unless they’re buying. And if you’re buying you’re not making gold.
On the contrary, you don’t need decent gear to boost. I was doing SM boosts on my mage with garbage greens from the AH.
Geared mages have a lot of spell power crit and hit, which isn’t useful for AoE abilities. You want a big mana and health pool, which greens can provide nearly as well. The only really big thing you get from epics is the 5 piece t2 set benefit which increases AoE radius by 25%.
