I want to make a Goblin. I usually go for more “edgy” characters. I know, I know, shame on me. I find Goblins just so funny and charming I kind of want to make one. Their greed, their silly rockets/explosives, their proficiency in engineering. They’re basically the comic relief of the Horde and they’re growing on me…so to speak. Idc about min maxing, I just want that awesome Heritage armor with the silly rocket and cool goggles.
So what’s the most accurate class to capture the Goblin feel? I’m thinking Hunter with their mechanical Guns and Pets.
Thoughts?

Priest is the paragon of Goblin society; scam people through their beliefs.
Rogue is a close second
Shaman for the best totems in the game.

Rogue imo, maybe warrior if you wanna go booty bay bruiser type.

Definitely rogue. Underhanded, sneaky little cheats whose loyalty lasts as long as their contracts.

Two goblins sitting on a bench, when one turns to the other. “Ok hear me out, What if we make fire without the explosives?”

I hadn’t seen the Heritage Armor yet, honestly didn’t know the core races had any.
I’m kinda excited about this, I don’t have a Goblin but the girls look cool with the googles on top of the head and them rockets!!
Thanks for the info!
As for your question: I find Goblins to be sneaky and technical. Makes rogues the perfect class imo. You can almost hear them giggle when they pickpocket you!

Could be the classic goblin warrior aka goblin bruiser.

My personal favorite for Goblins is Outlaw rogue. It combines a love of money ~and aquiring it via underhanded means~ with a surprisingly deadly device in the form of a handgun they can brain someone with.
Alternately you could go Demo lock in order to have as many employees as possible.

Goblin Rogue. (sneaky assassin/thief/mercenary, solid archetype for goblin)
Goblin shaman (kajamite made them intelligent and their ancestors did practice this often iirc)
Goblin Hunter (If you want the classic explosions and firepower fantasy this is it)

So hear me out… what if we make one way hand held windows.
Prolly rogue.
You know what makes zero sense though? Shaman
Goblins don’t care about the elements. How the heck are they shaman?

I guess they pay them for their services?

Really any of 'em are good.
Goblins are pyromaniacs so Mage or Warlock works. Maybe Elemantal Shaman for the Lava Burst and Flame Shock.
Hunter with a gun and a mechanical pet is definitely a good choice.
There’s plenty of Goblin Bruisers who swarm you if you start fights in Booty Bay, so a Warrior is alos good.
They’re crafty and sneaky, so you could go Rogue.
Priest is probably the only class that’s bit of a stretch. The only example I’ve seen in-game of a Goblin Priest is a quest in Azshara where the guy is basically usin’ the Light to grift people.
EDIT:
Goblin shamans are basically business contracts with the elemental spirits. A fire elemental just wants to burn things and a Goblin tells ‘em - "Yeah, sure, I can get ya out of the Firelands for awhile. But ya gotta to somethin’ for me, first."

Priest:
My first thought was “Televangilist” when thinking of a Goblin Priest.

Definitely a Tinker if the class ends up a real thing, which I had kinda low-key hoped patch 8.2 was leading to…

Maybe next expansion /shrug
Thanks for the thoughts guys. Unsurprisingly, rogue was mentioned a lot which does make a lot of sense. I’m kinda surprised more people didn’t mention hunter. Mechanical weapons and mechanical pets. Explosive abilities like Wildfire Bomb, Explosive Shot and Flare. Sneaky abilities like poison tipped arrows, Feign Death and Misdirection. Mechanical Traps like Freezing and Steel Trap.
There was lots of good insight into why Goblins make sense for the other classes too. I think I’ll go Rogue or Hunter.

Good choices. Goblin Hunters also get the benefit of bein’ able to “tame” mechanical pets without the book from Legion. Somethin’ to consider if that’s interestin’ to ya.
Oh yes for sure. Another reason why Hunters seem like a very flavourful choice. Thx
