Best Class for "Exploring"?

I want to go to places that are hard to get to. I know engineering is a must, but is there a best class specifically for exploring the random areas between map zones? I feel like blink isn’t that good for this, but I can’t really think of another skill that works better off the top of my head. Am I missing or undervaluing an important skill here?

Hunters for Cheetah Aspect, pets to tank when needed, and Feign Death
Rogues for Stealth and Vanish
Druids for Travel Form and Stealth (but no Vanish or Feign Death for ‘OH SH!T’ moments)

Warlock or Shaman. Self res is invaluable. Tauren can help you clip geometry. Ghostwolf can’t hurt.

Everyone has their value though.

Fair. out of curiosity, how do Tauren clip geometry? Are their vanilla models that buggy? I always thought they’d be harder just because they’re bigger.

Their hitbox is larger and so are their mounts; in turn, gnomes have a smaller hitbox.

Don’t forget about aquatic form!

I have a few 60’s one being a Druid and another is this Rogue. I really like the rogue for exploring. I’ve stealthed my way through lots of stuff, in instanced and open world, and knowing I can vanish out of lost troubles is really nice. I suspect hunter feign death is kindof similar, but they don’t have the same stealth mobility

The real answer here.

My rogue let me walk (in stealth) through the Viking villages in Legion and actually see all the carefully-crafted beautifully designed objects and architecture. The same is true for many other places that are full of enemies – without stealth you will never see them up close. The enemies simply re-spawn too fast. You just spend your time killing.

Druids have stealth too, but not as good. You’re much more likely for enemies to attack. And Druids don’t have Vanish. Once attacked, they have no way to stealth again.

For travelling long distances (before you get a mount) speed is valuable. Shamans and Druids and Hunters can get 30%-40% speed increases by level 21. That speed makes a big difference (before level 40 when everyone can be mounted). Druids even get a faster underwater travel form.

Rogue allows you to explore anywhere and not need to fight everything.

Mages are required for many of these spots as blinking thru invisible barriers is the technique used.

In my experience mage is the best class for exploration as they have access baseline to both slowfall and blink. Blink is one of the strongest exploration tools in the game since it will let you clip past obstacles if you know how to position correctly, and kill the momentum of your slowfall if you need to land while still high up.
