So, I’m pretty sick of having no gold and I’d like to farm some (or maybe a lot) at the start of Shadowlands.
What is the current consensus on the best class and professions for straight farming?
I’d appreciate any thoughts.
rogue with pick pocket is a good one if you just pick pocket trash and rare items only rogues can get.
with shadow lands a druid with herbalist is a good way to sell raw mats on the ah
or a enchanter with a druid.

Currently you would be best jumping on any reasonable geared level cap. If you dont have gear, any level cap.
And clearing as many older raids/dungeons as possible every day
Do all the dailies/world quests.
Dont bother farming.
If you find an older profession plan/pattern/schematic, check out its averages on the undermine.
Some are worth, something, to someone. Even if its only 40k.

Its end of xpac, everything is either being dumped on the ah, or not being used.
Consumables, crafting materials, boe’s all hitting the dirt in value.
Thats when you just go do something straightforward. Raids/Dungeons are solo, you cant be intruded, or obstructed. Should be a simple need-resolution.
If you are super, super patient, you could find a group farming a quick respawn point and simply aoe when they do. They do the work, you just stand there. Tagging stuff and looting what they killed for you.

Judging by the choices of the suspiciously bot-like characters I occassionally see out farming remote corners of the world, boomkins would seem to be the most efficient at raw repetitive farming.
