I want to like casters but I hate standing still and watching loading screens. Especially when I have to move out of fire half way through the cast. BM hunters are great because so many of their abilities are instant. Which other ranged specs (if any) don’t have to suffer this problem as much?
I think you might want to check out Fire. Proc-y bastiges.

Fire mage is the one that comes to my mind now. Maybe affli warlock with the instant dots too.

I wish affliction had more going for it in M+
Affliction Warlock.
A lot of their spells are instant, so they suffer the least from being the ‘turret’ caster class.

Affliction is fine in the average players key level. If you’re not running 17-20ish level keys on the regular, I wouldn’t worry about the ‘meta’ that people swear by.
For the most part every spec/class can do every bit of content. You might struggle at the highest key levels, but you shouldn’t have any trouble even running 15s which is the best gear that you can get from Mythics.
If you like Affliction you should play it.
Well you can’t be a caster then.
Fire Mage and BM hunter come the closest, but, generally, a big part of being a caster is the skill in navigating the environment while having to be static to cast.
Fire mage for most instant casts/mobility or as some have stated BM hunter. Stay away from warlock if you wanna be mobile…
