The problem is, you’ve listed out quite a bit, and you’ll never get all of this in a run unless you’re extremely lucky. We can do flawless 12 layer runs, but unless you get the right combination of rare/epic powers, it just ends up a slog. Doubly slow if you’re going for the mirror images build and you never get the highly-polished mirror
Resto Shaman, Demo Lock, and Mistweaver are all great IMO with the the right powers.
As a monk soloing Twisting Corridors, you can easily get a spammable Touch of Death and, if you also get Deathtouched Brew and get the buff up to 100 stacks, one-shot elites and bosses by using Fortified Brew to temporarily make your health pool bigger than theirs. I’m guessing this probably works even better in mistweaver spec because the mobs are supposed to have way less health when you’re soloing as a healer (as a windwalker or brewmaster you might need to get luckier with health-boosting anima powers)
In other wings that isn’t as practical but just getting a few stacks of Corrosive Dosage can still make it very easy to quickly kill everything
What tips do you have for a Fury warrior? I can get Flawless on Floor 10 and complete Floor 11 but I can’t do 12. I’ve unlocked all of the Torghast rewards and I’m iLvl 241 (which might be the problem).
People keep saying Warlock is amazing, but I have to keep my Fel Guard up or he dies. The powers don’t run the place for you.
To me, Prot warrior ran through there like HP wasn’t a thing.
I hear you, but at least you get amazing power options and are a strong class/spec to boot. I even totally forgot about the power that makes frost nova unbreakable making mages more or less immune to melee attackers.
Compare that to say, a DK, who doesn’t get anything super broken. We have to rely on class strength and gear to make up where powers end. At least you have awesome options even if they take some luck.
I take the entire package into consideration in my own rankings and they just are my personal opinions backed by a lot of time spent running Torghast. I know I’d feel way more confident on an undeargeared mage than I would an equally undergeared priest, for example. Just like I’d feel way more confident on an undergeared shaman than I would even a well geared DK…the disparity in overall power is really extreme in many cases.
That isn’t to say any single class/spec is overall screwed…just that some have it way better or worse than others.
Best: Monk
Worst: Ironically enough Druid. I can wreck bosses, but killing all the trash just takes forever.
Monk though… once you have the vivify power… You win.
Disagree… hunter with 15 sec cd redux on fd… + fd resets all aspects + imp turtle = infinite turtle… A tier solo setup.
You replied to a 9 month old post before half of those powers existed. They were added in 9.2. Lol.
Yes, hunter is one of the more powerful ones in Torghast now.
They added the Pet Damage/Health one, the Lone Wolf one, the Feign Death resets CD one, and buffed the Feign Death CD reduction one.
Prot warrior is nuts.
Worst one I’ve tried so far is holy priest. Very slow and tedious
first toon - guardian druid- could solo but was really slow and felt like a chore
second- resto druid- only did enough for campaign and legendary- a little different than bear but clunky in its own ways
current- resto shaman- good gracious- everything evaporates around me; i hardly have to heal myself- significantly easier and faster than my druids and will definitely be my “go run torghast for mats” class
Dk it’s only OP if obtain the spell for summon Four Horsemen, and speed up in summoning apocalypse or undead army if it is in unholy.
the best class is best with use of rush spells like Warrior, DH and Rogue like for a Speedrun.
And worst, from now i don’t know why the mage is the worst?
How does priest feel. Any spec. Asking for, myself.
I was actually going to start a new thread on this since I am leveling a bunch of classes through Torghast.
Here are my findings from best to worst
- Mistweaver Monk - its just easy mode, there is a power you get that creates a dmg pool from your vivify, this not only heals you but damages everything around you
- Resto Shaman - as said above resto is just easy mode
- Guardian Druid - its not fast but I NEVER die
- Blood DK - pretty easy with the right AOE powers
- Ret Pally - Kind of slow compared to above
- Demo Warlock - great when the felguard is alive, dead when not
- Shadow priest - this is just painful, maybe I should try Holy or Disc
Shadow priest is really hard, its very slow and I haven’t found any major powers that melt enemies like Monk or Shaman
I think I will try Disc or Holy
I have a blast leveling disc priest through there - but I’m usually pretty lucky with powers. The power that does AoE damage based on you heals is hilarious since you can just shadowmend everyone to death.
When I get the right powers, my destrolock is an absolute beast in Thorgast. Even with some middling ones I can breeze fairly quickly and easily through the place. I have been messing around more and more on my shaman and have been having a lot fun with it so far.
I loved Destro. When Demonology was the preferred spec, I was sad and stopped playing it. Mainly because I need a rhythm and Demo seemed more proc based and random buttons. Bit that’s just a personal thing. Destro was fun though. Almost a fire mage with a pet
There is one power for your pet that scales hp and dmg per floor. Its op af. My lock almost one shots all mobs. But dont let him die
Yeah, I still don’t think it’s as effective as Affliction when you’re running Sac, have Absolute Corruption, and get the power in there that slows them. If you have the Damage=Healing for your Void Walker to survive, you’re just watching everything slowly wilt in there. I LOVE affliction in Torghast.
