Best 1v1 wpvp class

just wondering what’s the best 1v1 class/spec in classic world pvp if there is one and maybe top 3 overall?

There is one answer to all questions about class.

DRUID

For world PvP? I’d say rogue, probably subtly spec. Really good at controlling the environment and dictating when and how the fight starts.

you’ll be 1shot by any rogue

SL warlock

Survives the opener, proceeds to win by attrition.

Going to vote Warlock, wait no Shadow Priest.

Basically one of those.

Never happened to me, unless it was higher leveled. Blind, vanish, sprint away from anything that gets the jump on me. Pop prep and restart the fight on my terms.

Or keep on running away while they run in circles trying to find me.

Shadow priests melt faces in pvp

Edit: Oh, top 3? Spriest, SL Lock and Cold Blood / Prep rogues.

Shadow priests are also nasty. Those and locks could fear people into enemy mobs, that’s one hell of an advantage in wPvP

Anyone who says anything other than “Shadow Priest” isn’t familiar with a 1.12 build of the game. SPriests wreck 1v1. No, rogue’s won’t be 1-shotting like you’d expect they would have prior to weapon normalization patch. Spriests are king 1v1

Okay rogue is good but can be countered pretty easily if done right or by right class. Especially if rolling horde.

Druid is another one of the top ones yes.

Buuuuuuuut.

Shadow Priest has it big time.

As for overall top 3?
I’d say.
Shadow Priest, BM Hunter and Rogue.

because you were a hum… or wait, that racial was added in WotLK

NVM. You won’t escape the Sap.

Rogue’s Worst Nightmare: Dwarf Reckoning Paladin.

Why would I need to worry about sap? It’s just a bait for trinket popping. I get attacked and run away after that.

Hunters can win every single matchup if they have unlimited kiting range. Obviously not going to happen every time, but will happen way more often in wpvp than in 1v1 duels with limited kiting space. Also pretty neat for wpvp because you can see anyone coming from a mile away with minimap tracking. You generally should only get ganked by stealthies because everyone else is on the minimap. Also easily the strongest class while leveling.

Rogues are your next best bet for wpvp. Stealth to avoid enemies and pick your fights. Top tier 1v1 class if their CDs are up.

SL warlocks are ridiculously strong in 1v1s. They’re the only spec in the game that I find unfair to fight against. Extremely tanky and will just slowly draintank you with all of their damage taken reduction buffs.

Honorable mention to mages and spriests.

Yeah newer players or unskilled ones might fall for that but most who are patient will wait it out.

You can’t trinket saps in Vanilla. Only warriors can zerker rage out of it (and paladin bubbles but that’s a given).

A -good- Hunter at 41 yards is pretty much unbeatable for everyone. The secret is not to let that occur  A hunter that YOU get the drop on is pretty dead. Preeeetty dead.

You’re right, sap’s still not mattering in the hypothetical the other guy was giving.

That’s why I include them in my ranking. That and using a pet and traps properly. Get Hawk Eye for extended range and if you have a field to kite in then you can kite all other classes.

Add in NE+Cat pet for standing stealth and your pet can make initial move as you watch them aimlessly look for you.
