looking to lvl an alt that is just a beast in 1v1. What are your opinions?
Paladin or Rogue
Well I don’t touch alliance so rogue it is, I was debating rogue Druid or SPriest
It’s shaman
It’s always going to be Rogue, even if you’re winning the 1v1 they can generally CC you and run from the fight after you’ve used cooldowns.
As far as entertaining classes to 1v1 I enjoy fighting Hunters!
I feel like a lot of factors go into play, but if you have everything up probably Paladin. Tough to beat if they have all of their cooldowns, you have to fight through their health bar 3 times.
Meele Warlock
Look it up on Youtube and thank me later.
And before you ask, I am not talking about Demon form…
Shaman not even close
Asking this question in any game model based off Vanilla is asinine. The answer is always Rogue. Multiple unforced errors are necessary for them to even be threatened, let alone in actual danger of dying.
2 evasions, 2 vanishes, 2 Blinds and 2 imp Sprints is the most hilarious defensive safety net imaginable. You have zero excuse to ever die in a 1v1 as a Rogue.
Rogue is the ultimate 1v1
Then lock and pally
Rogues absolutely chomp Paladins unless theyre Shockadins that have a shield on from the start or are straight healing Holy.
Rogues fold a Ret’s clothes with the Ret still wearin them(unless the rogue is greedy and sits the HoJ like a walnutbrain). Lightest of light work.
Lock beats everyone
Rogue or Mage. SoD rogue is probably the easiest its ever been to get high value out of it though. I think your only threat is like, glad stance warrior with loads of gear and shamans with feral spirits. Everything else is pretty free from what I’ve seen.
A soul link warlock wins every dueling tournament unless soul link is banned, or during the one phase in sod where shadow was bananas strong (and soul link has big mechanical issues via talents (but still got 2nd)
That said, dueling situations =/= bg pvp situations and also =/= open world pvp situations, since tethering yourself to a flag helps negate soul link’s biggest weakness.
Hunters in bgs are probably tops with big utility, absurd damage, and more range than anyone…
Whilst rogues are the pound for pound world pvp champs simply because they can pick their own engagements.
But pure dueling tournaments: rogues don’t win those, even with full cd resets and all available gadgets/consumes. (also worth mentioning that rogue has the most consumable counterplay. Faps, lips, cats eye pots, anti poison pots can all really hurt a rogue… An alliance with cats eye goggles, cats eye potion, perception, and felhunter paranoia basically ignores stealth entirely. Then can ignore all the stuns
Didn’t Snutz win the last big dueling tournament on a lock?
lock is by far the strongest class 1v1 in the game.
they are like batman.
with prep time they dunk on every other class.
but that is 1v1 and not an indication of group pvp or whatever.
I didn’t say Lock because they’re the literal pvp 1v1 gods in wow and its known throughout.
Paladin and Hunter by far and its not even close.
Rogue is up there if were talking world pvp. If were talking BGS then rogue moves way down due to the blanket HP change that makes CD reliant classes useless in bg.
Group pvp and bgs its Hunter by 10000000 miles.
Spriest is still dangerous in group. Boomkin needs a lot of help but theyre “okay”.
The best 1v1 class isnt the strongest its who has the most versatility to deal with many different scenarios match ups. In this case it has to be shaman. Shaman has no auto lose match up while being a power house themselves.
a well played and prepared lock auto wins vs every class.
but then again people dont understand the power of locks and dont really watch how every single dueling tourney other than ones that specifically ban locks has a lock winner .
