Benthic gear vendor, Always the same azerite piece?

Just bought 3 helms, the “creates gear appropriate for your spec” thing.

Do they always create the same piece of azerite? Because azerite being azerite it’s only appropriate for your spec about 5% of the time.

Edit: For what it’s worth Wowhead has a pretty good guide on benthic, very useful for planing out what to get and not wasting pearls looking for something that doesn’t exist. ( Credit to Crossbless for pointing this out )

No you can get a slightly different piece. Just might need to buy a bunch. Haven’t purchased a helm yet, though. Just stuff on the right side of the character sheet.

scroll down to the tabs for each armor type

most/all slots have multiple possible stat combinations and special effects, for example leather boots have 4 possible outcomes

There’s only one azerite piece for benthic gear, save your pearls.

I was happy that we could target our upgrades again. Then I discovered I have to play the RNG game with each slot until I get the one that’s most useful and it has a gem slot.

Yeah, I’ll never do that. I’ll just use what I get, which is good enough.

i’ve gotten a few good pieces today and am up to 391 now. :slight_smile: i upgraded my gloves thinking i had to right away but otherwise i’d have saved those pearls but it’s cool.

Really wish the azerite gear weren’t roll items, so you don’t waste pearls trying to get one that is remotely decent.

But bro, being 5% larger while in Nazjatar/eternal Palace is crucial and critical for any progression and adds game changing gameplay to your class and spec.

…there is no RNG for Benthic Azerite pieces. Just normal Benthic armor. Can you at least cry about things that are real?

That’s what I’m saying. The tooltip would suggest that there is, when there isn’t, and that’s the problem.

Can helm, shoulders, and chest Benthic items come out with a prismatic socket like the non-azerite items like waist, legs, wrist, hands, boots, etc?

Azerite pieces can’t have sockets, can’t forge up, will never have secondary stats either. All those are supposed to be made up for by azerite traits.
