I love me some Mythic raiding, but I see constant reminders of how it poisons the rest of the game.
This thread wouldn’t exist if Mythic raiding didn’t exist.

A guildie of mine had a bag of 22 Benthic Boots he gambled off of. I think it was perhaps number 19 or 20 where he got the socket and that specific flavor-text you need.
How is this fun? You cannot tell me this is fun. This was a guild-mate of mine, not my bags. This was him fishing for the BiS pieces that are better than Mythic drops from EP.
The 3% crit boots come to mind as wanting a word with you. A socket is worth a good 10 ilevels so there’s no way base boots could ever compete if it has that. I doubt even a fully TF with socket could. 3% extra crit damage is a lot…
Bracers can also have a damage proc and are next on my radar to try to go for.

That’s not poisoning the rest of the game, that’s a result of hard content existing at all. People doing hard stuff min-max, but they also generally want the rewards for it to be more than vendor trash compared to what they already had. You raid Mythic; you know what it feels like to down a nasty boss and cringe at the drop. All those vers rings and awful trinkets, just for starters.
I mean this thread wouldn’t exist if gear didn’t exist either, but there’s such a thing as throwing out one bath of water along with all the babies ever.

from reading the guide of a person that actually sim all the gear and took the time to write the guide, I can safely say you are wrong.
Slots:
Wrist, Gloves, Belt and Boots are your BIS. without that I don’t think you can do more than 45k dps.
my ilvl is 440 and my sim dps is 35k, go watch a hunter in 430 ilvl with bentic gear and he is doing 50k + sim dps.
pieces are not hard to get, you will roll them easy. why this is better than mythic raiding gear, makes no sense
