Are all the Benthic Azerite armor pieces (head, shoulders, chest) the same? Or, are there variations in each piece?
I’m trying to figure out which pieces of Benthic armor I’ve acquired to upgrade. I got a couple of Azerite armor pieces, but I’m not sure if I should hold out for better traits.
Also, what is the max ilevel for Benthic Azerite armor?
I’ve tried to research these questions, but I’m seeing conflicting information – I think some info is from the PTR which may have changed.
They do vary, some are better than others. It’s even possible to get a socketed piece. It just random dumb luck and endless grind (to get right traits with socketed)
This is how Blizzard increases “Time Played” and extends subscriptions.
Once you know best in slot piece, you take an alt to Nazjatar and do the intro quests. Take those few dozen manpearls and buy a few of that slot and mail them back.
I’ve started down that path. Last night did the Nazjatar intro on one alt, got a pile of mana pearls. Bought the Benthic armor slots that are BIS for my spec. Opened them all up on my main and hoped to win the lottery. It worked, one was the right version with a socket. I will rinse and repeat this process until I get all three BIS Benthic armor slots.
Thanks for the input. I think that’s good advice for Benthic armor generally.
But, I’m asking specifically about the pieces with Azeroth traits. Do these have variations for each slot? Or, for example, will every Benthic chest piece I get be the same?
Per the Wowhead link posted above, Azerite slots only have one Benthic item per slot; that is, you’ll get the same Azerite item every time using a Head, Shoulders, or Chest Benthic token.
