Nope, outside Seattle on an island. Although my brother in law lives in Texas and plays on Grobb, no issues.
Then the only reason you could get the same ping on both servers is that your ISP is actually not that great. The physical distance difference between the two datacenters should be adding latency.
Look I know we aren’t going to see eye to eye on this and I apologize for attacking you. I just feel like you aren’t giving enough consideration to a server that is possibly a perfect fit for you is all. There’s even alliance players starting to post here saying it isn’t that bad. I suppose you are tied down by some other means and I don’t blame you for wanting to uproot at this point.
It’s multiple things. I am a GM and am trying to coordinate an entire guild and many of them lived through p2 in classic and never want to deal with getting ganked again. I have a kid that plays the enjoys going out mining and questing. She would never tolerate someone ganking her. There’s just so many reasons… I don’t want to try and find people that can raid on our schedule on a server that is 3 hours behind. Those west coast people aren’t even off work when we have eaten dinner and are ready to raid.
All perfectly valid reasons I understand. I’m trying to find a way to get people to get off these servers even if it’s a small hundred it helps every bit. I do think blizzard should be doing more and have a more useful solution but until then this is what we have.

An alliance mega server with no queue?
I transferred from Grobbulus to Old Blanchy and was hesitant because Old Blanchy was low pop. If everyone thought like you, OB would still be low pop.
But it’s not.
OB is now high pop and thriving and I’ve never had to wait in queue.
Like many others said, single faction dominated servers are effectively PvE servers anyway and instanced BG’s (including Wintergrasp don’t forget) are cross realm anyway.
The solution they proposed with FCM isn’t a bad one, it’s just not the one you want.

Bene actually has a very low number of 71+ characters. Is it because of the queue?
People kinda trashed the options when they killed the servers by transferring off of them. If you were one of those folks who fled to Bene, this is your doing.

I completely agree. I don’t play here, but I feel your pain. People, much less entire established guilds, are not going to transfer off. Most of the people I’ve talked to about this would rather quit than transfer as the risk of not being able to transfer back is too high.
LOL bene is a pve server just like faerlina. Anyone who claims to want to pvp and is on either is full of crap. I agree free transfers to ANY server from these servers could possibly solve this problem. I know it would for me. I transferred to faerlina with guild even though I didn’t want to. Posting now because Im in queue. I dont blame blizz for my stupid choice, but if you just opened free transfers from the server you could fix this issue. You made your money off the idiots like me transferring there. Now let me play the game by going to another server with some folks I know to continue my subscription. I wont continue to pay for a game I cant play. Not going to put blizz out of business nor will I be missed. But I also wont miss a game I cant play.

Yea, lets send the 15k extra Bene players to Pagel, a healthy server at or around cap of 15k players so they have bene’s same problem.
Just come to Eranikus. Right now there are 8k active players during peak time.

Low total or online? We have 3k+ 80s online at a time and more are hitting 80 each day.
Weird because Bene is also a PvE server and not a PvP server…

Pagle should be a destination as every other realm where you have a lvl 70+ toon there. Its not as if you don’t already have a slot on that server. Or you are taking a new spot.
