Benediction Horde - Come to Grobb

Probably shouldn’t be swindling people into joining a majority faction server, Grob is going to shift even more towards Alliance the closer we get to Wrath/Sunwell release

Go to Faerlina. Larger server, probably better pugs and better raid enviroment

The population balance on Grobb has stayed close to the same for a very, very long time. This means throughout the entirety of Classic and TBCC. There hasn’t been a real shift and the horde when you talk to them do not seem to have a desire to leave.

I won’t doubt anything anymore with realm pop shifts but we are talking a pretty stable realm which yes also has a fairly large population.

The majority of the horde will continue to pile on Faerlina and Whitemane, especially those who play only to raid, but there’s nothing wrong with informing people about another option. There aren’t many server choices left.

Benediction Horde GM here. Ironically this was talked about amongst a lot of the Horde GM’s at one point. The “save grob” movement in a sense. Sadly the risk outweighed the rewards. Most, including myself, know the risk of transferring once and keeping your roster in tack let alone possibly twice in the same expansion if it didn’t work out. Mega servers are sadly our future. Small tight knit communities are a thing of the past now and with it server faction balance.

RP-PvP servers tend to be more stable since players that roll there are looking for a long-term community. Not surprising to see the Horde not bailing out (and why should they if they’re about 40% of a robust player base).

It’s actually amusing to see some people say to go to faction imbalanced servers that are essentially PvE servers. Frankly, garbo players just looking for a high faction pop, faction imbalanced and non-existent communities can go to these mega servers and remain nameless.

Any WPvP inspired Horde player should jump at the chance at playing on Grob. Grob isn’t supposed to appeal to transfer locusts that bail on their servers prematurely. The latter type of players should just go to your mega swamp servers and spare us your realm suggestions.

Your small tight knit community is your guild.

We knew this was going to transition into mega servers, if you didn’t see this coming you must be new to WOW. It was the exact same back then.

You wait to see which servers will have staying power and those servers are out now,.so you only need to xfer 1 time, you go to Faerlina or Whitemane and that’s it.

Faerlina and Bene are overcrowded af. Horde on Grobb wont leave if we get 20% more to keep the balance and not tip over the edge like Herod, Faerlina, Bene and now Whitemane are having, Where their PVP servers got turned into PVE due to faction inbalance.

But there is a reason why Grobb has still been alive, even if the balance is 60/40 since p2 of Classic: Good and chill community.

If you’re taking in the numbers from Ironforge of the # of unique characters in recorded WoWlogs, There’s a defecit because most of us raidlog and its the holiday season. We’re dad gamers so we got families to see and take care of. This week’s reset (and next week’s before new years) is gonna be the same as most players wanna spend time with their family than go clear SSC and TK again for the 10th time.

Also most horde arent gonna transfer off grobb, but just quit the game. If Ally mass transfer on to our rp server and act like a bunch of goons as if it was their original server, we’re just uninstalling lmao.

This. People are kidding themselves if they think muh server community matters. It’s always been your guild that matters first, then the ease of pugging second. That’s why megaservers are good.

The only way I see horde lasting on grobb is because it’s a niche server type, so if you have people who actually enjoy RP servers I can see them rolling there.

That being said I still don’t think Grobb horde will last, I think Grobb will just become an Alliance server basing it off the trend it shows on ironforge.

People who dont play on here have said the same thing since Classic when Skeram and smaller servers started imploding in p2-p4, But here we are. Since p2 of classic, Grobb has been 60/40 in favor of the Alliance. I play on this server and it’s always been like that. Ally has more numbers but they crumble as soon as Horde makes an organized effort on pvp.

But us RPers dont have a choice once Grobb dies. Bloodsail (pve) is dead af, boring as its pve and its all Alliance. And with PVP servers, it isnt any better as the other servers that are all horde/forcefully now pve (Whitemane, Faerlina and Herod) are toxic cesspools full of no lives who dont respect RPers. Hence why a lot of us if Blizz doesnt stop mass-transfers will just unsub and delete WoW off their PCs.

Community on Grobb matters. We had big server events, virtual concerts and yes, cross faction! It’s due to our smaller size, and guilds, reputation goes a long way compared to the big 3 servers. Most people know me on grobb due to my RP guild (Hand of Lordaeron) being an OG rp guild before most of us took a vacation for ff14.

Hell, if you wanna see a good look at the absolute state of Grobb’s community, Barny (beekeeper) on youtube is doing her series on Grobbulus’s and her own race for the Scarab Lord and the weird stuff that happened as this is an RP server and everybody who went into the sands got a case of Bug-Brain ™ and started hallucinating about Snakeman.

There are some ppl on here who still hold vendettas to this day after what happened in the sands those long 2 weeks in Silithus.

I’m sure rp servers are the exception but for everyone else what I said is true

I feel like all the horde saying the alliance fold on a 60/40 are just saying it to cope lol.

Y’all prolly getting trashed lmfao

Grobb is different and you are just unable to comprehend this fact.

As I said before, roll a horde here to see for yourself.
Or just stop with these assumptions and run along already.
Don’t you have packing to do in prep for Bene?

Oh my god you don’t have the murder the poor Dwarf like that! I just noticed he’s from Whitemane and is probs projecting as his faction is starting mass-transfer off to Bene.

But as Ruroki has said, Grobb is different and what we’re saying is what’s going on with Grobbulus and how it’s been these past few months and since before TBC and the server meltdowns which lead to the big 3 getting so messed up.

Naw gonna finish phase 2 out along with phase 3 prog.

We gonna be the last Alliance guild here.

Don’t act like you’re not on the Majority faction on your server.

While you’re the 60% on a 60/40 server :face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I was on a RP server once, tbh I think the skill level of RP servers is pretty low…

If its retail RP servers , definitely. Most people who gave a damn left to non-rp servers for prog long ago. But Grobb is pretty solid and has some top tier guilds for speed clears and competitive runs for an rp server. The top guilds who usually end up on the Warcraftlogs charts for speedclears/progression on Grobb for Ally are and and with Horde it’s , and , the last two used to be in Classic until they split. There’s some new transfer guilds in there as well, but they aren’t OGs.

Idk Everytime I look someone up here who’s on Grobb It just reinforces my opinion on RP players.

Top guild on grobb (Rockstar) is # 58 on Worldwide logs, that’s pretty good within the swarm of chinese and EU guilds. Usually rp server guilds would be down lower and nowhere near top 100.

Either way, im not the one with a dying server. Grobb is poppin’ on both sides and were having fun while you and your guild can seethe and cope in your new 73% zugzug server.

Maybe everyone isn’t playing for the same reasons or care about the same things as you. Have you ever considered that or is it too challenging to think outside of your personal viewpoints for you?

I’d agree with you if they weren’t raiding…

If you got 80+ kills on bosses of this tier and the people on grobb are all green and grey parsing… I guess you could argue they raid and just afk during the fights…

If you’re doing the same content and not even trying those are the people I’m glad to not have on my server or in my circle.

It would be like me going onto a RP server to not RP…why que up to a BG to not pvp…or go into a raid to not kill bosses??

Like getting hit by easy mechanics and just be like sorry I was watching YouTube…lol
