Benediction and Light of the Naaru

Will these two talents work for M+? My group wants to start pushing keys (So far we’ve made it up to a six) but I’m finding Divine Star isn’t always able to hit ranged and I keep Prayer of Mending on CD. And would Light of the Naaru be a good choice other than Apotheosis?

Light of the Naaru is a weird talent, because if it were on almost any other row it’d be a must-take… but because it is competing with both Salv and Apotheosis, the only place it’ll really see use is in arena. Apotheosis will be better 100% of the time in an M+ environment, especially now that hitting the button resets Holy Word CDs, too, which gives you some much needed burst.

With regards to Divine Star, all I can really say there is ‘just keep practicing’. Even just being able to use DStar for damage makes it more valuable than Benediction; continuing to use it and get familiar with it will be worth your while.

That said, at that key level, anything works… but Apotheosis and Divine Star are taken for a reason.

Benediction only really works with Renewed Faith, taking both of those talents will skew your secondary stats towards haste as well. They are very nice to have, especially on bursting weeks.

Light of the Naaru is pretty much dead in the water right now, possibly until shadowlands and we get Harmonious Apparatus legendary and synergy with Holy Oration conduit.

Apotheosis is extremely strong with the Holy Words reset, often allowing you to just burn your holy words then focus on dps instead of potentially wasting mana trying to get CD’s back for the next round of burst.

Anything below +24 works, provided you have the right secondary stat allocation. I’ve ran many 20+ using a Bene+Renewed Faith setup and a Renewed Faith+Divine star setup. Apotheosis is too good to pass up currently, however.

Thank you =D

I’m not a fan of Benediction because I already cast Renew a lot in M+ so it tends to basically just refresh or trigger when I’m in the process of casting a Renew on somebody. In terms of pure mana efficiency it’s actually not bad: especially on a DoT affix week where your PoM will trigger all 5 stacks almost instantly.

I run Divine Star though because if I position myself I can heal multiple people at the same time and also DPS a bunch of mobs. Its mostly wasteful so it tends to overheal a lot… like 40% or so. I can also cast it while on the move so it’s a good mobile heal. There just really isn’t any good choices at that tier because using Halo will guarantee a kick from the group.

I used to run Apotheosis, but I barely ever used it in practice. The reason was there was hardly any situations where I needed it. Maybe like once in a dungeon or two I would be popping it. It wasn’t something you’d be popping every other trash pull. If crap hits the fan I got Divine Hymn and Seeds of Eonar.

Right now I’m running Light of the Naaru because it’s a passive bonus that lets me dump out more Holy Words and benefits me at all times except Apotheosis which was for emergency situations only. Come Shadowlands there’s a Holy Oration conduit that further increases your Holy Word CD reduction and both will stack together leading to an endgame potential of like 50% reduction on Holy Word CDs.

If I -need- Apotheosis to do bosses or trash pulls than there’s something wrong going on with my playstyle.

Light of the naaru talent and holy oration conduit makes prayer of healing and flash heal reduce the cd on sanctify and serenity respectively by about 9 seconds per cast.
The legendary does not help with that part so it would need to be tested in a practical test to understand how much the legendary helps.

LotN is a good talent, but Apotheosis now resetting holy words is just too good to pass it. At least for me.
Being able to just spam 2 serenitys and 2 sanctify instantly can save whole group and get them full hp in no time. And even after that apotheosis effect still continues.
