I just re-did the Kyrian quests and I forgot about this mega depressing questline. Whatever happened to Ben? Was that it? He just got dropped in the maw and… he’s just there forever?

We’ve been rescuing souls from the Maw for like 2 years. And now that Pelagos has discontinued its use, Sylvanas is there to try and retrieve the rest.

So got good news and bad news
So good news is I went ahead and found him and put him in a soulshard
Bad news though is I accidentally used his soul to cast Malific Rapture on a Mawsworn so… yeah
He’s gone for good

The story of Ben left an unexplainable giant, forgotten sword in my heart.
Sadly, he didn’t even evolve into a mission table follower. 
…guess those spots are reserved for Croman and Meatball.

I just like to think Sylv found his soul quickly because he was pretty freshly dead
Also if he doesn’t end up in the kyrian afterlife. I like to think Kleia still goes to visit him wherever he is and apologize

He was datamined and apparently supposed to show up in 9.1 but like many side stories, was abandoned.

One of the more infuriating quests of the expansion, where your character is supposed to just sit there silently and stupid and not speak up to say “Hey, remember when I showed up Bastion and told you all about how everything was messed up with the Shadowlands? Ben’s soul is going straight to the Maw if you dump him in the soul stream so maybe you should just hang on to him for the time being.”
