That’s extra frustrating now that I’ve grinded a lot, cuz with Heroic world mode and fast dungeons, you’re REALLY relying on your ilvl to do any damage, AND the rewards you get are, as far as I know, entirely based on your current (inventory included) ilvl. So when you open a chest, you’ll get ilvl 45, but if you had a belt on, it’d be ilvl 50. I NEED to be able to upgrade my gear rather than just rely on drops. I hate RNG and I love being in control. MoP Remix was better in that regard.

I wish I could tell that this gets better as you gear up; it doesn’t. The RNG fairy strikes again.

To my knowledge the ilvl of gear drops is decided by your Artifact ilvl.
Yup, took me to like nearly level 40 but it finally happened.
