Except it’s not. The majority of the lore is in the game. Very few books were necessary to understand the rest of the game. And even then, there was usually a TLDR in game. Even Maiev’s issues were explained in game.
If people choose not to pay attention to quests and dialogue, that’s their choice.
This game is written more like an action or adventure movie. It’s not some great literally novel that’s going to win a Pulitzer.
Blindly following the words of a streamer without learning yourself or forming your own opinions isn’t critical thinking nor does it make for intelligent conversation.
So now I have to ask why you are here.

Shadowlands was bad, that’s why negative videos were creating.
I remember the exact reason i quit Shadowlands.
Forced to do my choreghast every week… basically 1 hour I’m just wasting my time doing content i don’t like. One week i finishing it up and got a boss i just couldn’t kill… it had a stacking buff that made it so more damage to the point it just one shot me… there was nothing i could do so i just wasted 40 minutes in content i already didn’t like and it was just thrown in the trash.
So yeah just quit the expansion and then seeing 9.1 content i had zero desire to return.

I just thought it was funny to use 1,0x instead of 1x or 1000x. My comment itself was a joke, that’s all.
I know that in America 1,0 is different from the rest of the world but I still think that to tell someone that they are less intelligent in x factor, it would be more intuitive to use 1x, 2x, 10x, etc…

As someone who has only read a few of the books and knows all of the lore… you linking me a bunch of videos just proves my point.

the wow culture civil war wages on in the forums redit and twitter. wonderful to see a divide i havent seen this since BFA prepatch.
They choose to explain in lore why you can wear Sentinel armor with your male nelf. Usually in any other game that would be called “caring”, or people would be scratching their heads why a transmog exclusive to females according to the estabilished lore can now be worn by males.
If you wanted them to be lore accurate, then this mog set would’ve been exclusive for female nelves. Now imagine how cool that’d be for a “reward”.

an example just for you: vol’jin and the fake death that occurred in pandaria. In the book it is extensive, full of details…in the game there are some quests. I don’t even need to say anything more.

I gave you a perfect source, the video that started this thread and you immediately deflect. I would put all my money on the fact you made no attempt to watch it, assuming your opinion about it based solely on the title, if you even read that.
However, I made a point to watch it before joining the discussion.

In fact, I will put here one more example : Theramore and the Garrosh bomb.
In the book Tides of war, the lore and explanation, the event that occurred is much more extensive than in the game.
Even the relationship between Kalecgos and Jaina was much more worked on in the book, there is nothing that comes close in the game.

I don’t know what you’re going on about but I know my most hated “out of game” moment was the death of Cairne.
Last day of Wrath, he’s standing in TB. First day of Cata, he’s gone. I hate that crap.

and yes, there are a lot more details in the books about this than in the game. Another great example.

You forgot to say “In my opinion Shadowlands was bad”. And that was the problem. A minority of the players particpate in the forums. A minority of those form an “echo chamber” where they tell each other over and over what it is they hate. Eventually they come to believe that they speak for “the players”.
They don’t. They have no idea if their OPINION which they echo to each other over and over and over again is what “the players” actually believe. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t.
I’m sure they are and I’m sure they represent the OPINION of a good number of people, maybe a thousand out of the 100 thousand that play this game. Whatever they are, that doesn’t mean everyone agrees.
People aren’t going to take their time to watch your videos.
Use your words. Write. Summarize.

Cairne was awesome, I always used him as my first hero in WC3.

The thing is it’s not even knew. What do we think warlocks have been doing or necromancers (lich king included)? Domination magic. Priests have had MC since vanilla

It’s a shame we never seen Cairne’s potential and they felt the need to kill him off to put a wet noodle in his place.

One thing I find strange is that the cairne model in WC3 is very different from WoW.
