I usually run the game at around 200-300 FPS. While skyriding, it sometimes drops into the 160s at the absolute lowest. When riding on Beledar’s Spawn (mount), my FPS drops to around 40-60 FPS. The game looks extremely choppy and near unplayable due to the lag.
I tested riding many other skyriding mounts and could not find a similar issue. I tested all four Shadowlands Keystone Master mounts and also could not find a similar issue.
i was just typing about this but decided i should search if someone else has it and what do ya know! its only on beledar! once i read your post i switched over to wow and mounted a diff one. zero lag. perfect frames. switched back to bel and theres the lag!

I want to add to this bug with this mount. I see FPS drops both with and without addons. As well, FPS keeps dropping the longer I ride and look around the scenery, flying every which direction. Almost as if it’s a memory leak.
Oh good, I thought it was just me. I was so hyped to get this mount for my shadow priest and then its almost unusable
Same issue, posted a few days ago as well. Extreme FPS drops when skyriding Beledar’s Spawn, not happening on any other mount.
Really hope they fix this, mount is so cool!
Same problem here as well. I thought it was my PC at first, and then I stopped using the mount and my FPS is back to normal.
Having the same issue. Normally my FPS is 140 while skyriding but on Beledar’s Spawn it drops immediately to 60 and lower. Frequently dropping below 30 and making the experience very jarring.
Same issues here, usually 200-300 and dropping to sub 30 FPS. Tried w and w/o addons same issue.

Just got this mount, and i heard about the fps drop with this mount. Figured it was an exaggeration. Boy i was wrong. I drop to 40fps when skyriding on this mount. Doesn’t matter the zone either. Switched to normal flying and no fps drop.
After 20 attempts and finally getting the mount I was met with stuttering and terrible FPS as soon as I use it, quite rough.
I got this mount a few days ago. Lately I’ve noticed my fps drop while skyriding and my frames were insanely choppy. It’s been driving me crazy trying to figure it out until I tripped over this thread. I swapped mounts to test and what would you know, my frames are smooth as butter skyriding on any other mount.
I hope they fix Beledar’s Spawn soon because it’s such a great mount but skyriding is almost unplayable with the choppy frames.
