I understand the thought process, but a person can only loot it once per day per character. Setting a three hour spawn time for something people are bursting immediately only serves to cause friction. It needs to scale much higher per person attacking, or it needs to spawn repeatedly through the night cycle.
I dont see anything wrong with how its set up now personally. Only thing i would suggest is when it spawns to give it a timer before being attackable, to allow others to reach it in time

A 5 min timer would work. Especially when people start getting to the renown with Hallowfall when you can see its location when it spawns.
The 3 hour window is fine, i was very fortunate to get it on an alt. Even level 70s have a chance, if you have the time and are saved on others.

Think it is fine with 3 hour respawn time but it would be nice with a 2 to 3 minute timer before it can be attacked. Gives people time to get there to get the kill.
Think it is worse with Tka’ktath in Azj-Kahet which has a (reportedly) 2 - 10 respawn timer.
Kind of. You get a heads-up with a zone-warning when he’s spawning, and he has a singular spawn point you can camp. Meanwhile the Spawn can die before you get there if you are at the wrong spawn-point across the zone.

I think when it’s engaged, it should announce to the whole region, and then a marker appears on the map. It’s immune then to damage for 1 minute.
In their infinite wisdom, Blizzard decided a late-stage renown reward was knowing where it would spawn. To not invalidate that, it should jut be flat five minute immune once it spawns.
I was right near him yesterday doing a quest and before I noticed it someone was already wailing on him and killed him. I really wish they hadn’t put rep on rares - that is just total garbage.
Oh nvm - he doesn’t give rep just a chance at a mount. I have 600 plus of those I don’t use I am sure I won’t miss having another.

- There is a zone wide announcement when it “spawns” and that also appears if you are in the city of threads.
- It takes a few minutes to even arrive at the spawn point and become attackable.
I would say that is fair for the long respawn timer.
I always do it in war mode, solves a lot of issues with others finding it lol.
if it works like the rares in the timeless isle, where the rare gets 1m of invulnerability, then it should be a good fix.
I got mine with a few tries, but even then there was some unhinged people who just wanted to burst down, i even lot a few tries because of it, not waiting your own group is like, a rly bad attitude.
Agree. I’ve only killed it once and got it through LFG and it was at 60% when I got to the boss. Didn’t know this

The drop rate is incredibly high (roughly 77-80%) but it’s not guaranteed. With that drop rate though, most will have it after their first kill. 2 if Lootcifer really hates them. 3 if the universe has cursed their name. As an aside, I had encountered someone who was on their 5th kill, so something went horribly wrong for them. Makes sense either way considering the work that has to be done afterwards.
Huh the event before the xpac launched had a 5 min timer (i think sorta, boss was in a shield and could not be attacked for some time) on the boss when it spawned don’t see why all world boss don’t have this.
5 minutes would be excessive in my opinion. 2-3 would be reasonable for anyone in the zone to fly across or for others to head down the Coreway. Either way, I do agree that there needs to be an immunity timer.
