Beledar seems like a tip of something familiar... (Not a sword.. What sword?)

I think it has something to do with the Old God blood nearby

Well Azeroth is a titan so checkmate. :sunglasses:

Just like the creators of the hit TV-show Lost said it wasn’t Purgatory.

Oh, I thought the Arathi were a dead civilization.

Well, the light did teleport them there…

Not necessarily. Azeroth is a worldsoul and the other Titans are/were trying to make her/it a titan but apparently per some new lore Azeroth could hatch as something else.

Okay. But also the timeline does not work for it to be the sword. And it doesn’t actually look like the tip of a sword, especially not Sargeras’s. And it’s in the wrong place.

They were the first human kingdom, but factions within the Arathi kingdom broke off and started things like the Stormwind humans, and the Arathi Empire still exists, but they’re on a different continent on the other side of Azeroth that is tough for us to reach.

So technically yes, the original Arathi kingdom is dead, but not the faction of the Arathi Empire which does still exist. Also the Arathis allied themselves with elves, so the current Arathi Empire are full of half elves, which is why you see stuff like Faerin with elf ears and other touches like that among the Arathi we encounter.

I really hope that doesn’t happen. I don’t want to play on a new planet.

Theory here, you ever stick a straw in a cup of water and suddenly the straw is in two pieces not aligned? That’s what the sword is doing.

Wrong side of the planet to be the sword tip anyways, if it was the sword going all the way through the planet it would be coming up from the water.

The straw effect is cause by light refracting differently through air and water. The straw isn’t physically in a different place.

Light refraction wouldn’t cause the same effect through a solid object like a planet.

Uh clearly there is water because it’s raining down and Beledar is doing plenty of light so it could very much be refracting as well

Sure.

I wonder if it is literal Elune, or Azeroth’s “heart”, or a naaru on the verge of becoming a corrupt Naaru, or yrel’s multidimensional space ship crashed/stuck in space/time - the occupants slowly going insane and an epic void/light battle going on inside.

Guess only time will tell xD

Isn’t it east?

The Arathi stated Beledar existed when they appeared underground fifteen years ago, about a decade before Sargeras stabbed Azeroth. Instead, it seems Beledar is either Azeroth’s heart or related to the Naaru (shifting from Light to Void and looking similarly to Xe’ra’s heart).

It’s not the sword, since Beledar was there before Legion.
Furthermore, Sargeras’ sword is probably not made of light.
Also, the sword is in Silithus and not on the Isle of Dorn.

The sword has released the blood of the old gods. It is mentioned somewhere in Azj-Kahet. Old God blood has kinda corrupting features. As Alleria said in the final cutscene: It’s everywhere - and most likely the cause of Beledars’ turning and the reason for the radiant song.

I dare say that the death of all four old gods is an important factor.

Beledar itself is most likely one of the shards of light that contains Azeroth’s soul or something. Anduin claims he heard the radiant song from it, and the arathi are also there for some reason. Perhaps they went to hallowfall with Cata because it was a similar event.

Nope. It’s in the wrong place to be the tip of the damn sword (Hallowfall is underneath Khaz Algar, not Kalimdor); it’s not flat enough; and it’s been there too long. There’s some speculation that it might be part of a Naaru nether-ship; but that’s not confirmed.
