Imagine being so entitled that you felt the need to tell people, who commit more time to the game than you do, that they can’t have some extra non-progression content to mess around with. News Flash: this game is a huge time sink. People that play the game more than you do will progress further and it’s not their fault that you can’t keep up. Welcome to World of Warcraft. Enjoy your stay.
You have to have literally played 5-6 hours per day to be 60…
I’m an “elitist” with several pieces of teir gear and Benediction…and I agree. It’s way too fast.
If you are going to do instanced content in a group, the longer you wait, the fewer of the gogogo crowd that you will encounter.
This is not a version of the game where you rush to level cap and sit there. That’s the formula for getting your character into a state where there is nothing for it to do.
You guys make it sound like dire maul is some huge thing that invalidates everything you did and want to do and somehow puts you behind.
-Guilds will still be running mc every single week
-Dire maul is not challenging content, it’s a low to mid 50s dungeon, that again, will be ran regularly for the entirety of classic, and that guilds will be doing in the form of tribute runs for buffs every week
-Most of the gear from dm doesnt even invalidate other dungeon loot, it mostly just fills in holes in itemization (ie, druids) and the pieces it does “invalidate” are like random 1/200 drop chance “of the x” blues
This has nothing to do with people running out of content or whatever, no one cares about dire maul progression. This is like getting upset that mauradon was in the game on launch. If anything you just gain more value from dire maul releasing early if you aren’t level 60 yet.
Also, I see a lot of confusion with people thinking this is phase 2 being pushed early. It’s not. This is a dungeon releasing that honestly I think should have been available from launch
Well we are not streamers that are paid to play video games! We have jobs , careers, families
I say cautiously, that what you’re describing is the fire that makes Classic unique and gives it allure. Because you’re left behind, because you’re left out, you now have goals; massive goals that you’ll likely go great lengths to get. It’ll make you better. It’ll make you enjoy it more. If you’re lucky, it won’t destroy you along the way.
So what? There are many people with jobs, careers, families, kids and other hobbies/responsibilities that have had no problem hitting level 60 & end-game content at this stage into Classic. It’s easier leveling now than it was 15 years ago when people had a lack of resources, addons, guides, etc.
And that’s fine, because that’s your definition of “fun”. Not everyone enjoys leveling because many people have done it countless times over the years so they would rather hit end-game and farm end-game content which is what they find “fun”.
He’s 56 after over a month, rocking a Raging Berserker Helm relax.
Dire maul does not affect your leveling experience (except to help in the end) and in a healthy server it wont affect your raid experience or endgame build up either(except in a helpful way). No one is rushing you, this should have been done already, DM should already be out.
(Edit for clarity)
Yea, I was surprised they did this. I realize they want to wait for servers to settle into single layer before pushing the honor patch, but it doesn’t kill people to wait a little. Classic has only been out for what, a month and a half?
Also, I don’t think you’re slow. I’ve been playing a lot and I haven’t hit 60 yet… close though! A lot of people just rushed to the end, and that’s fine, but it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.
You don’t understand what kind of inflation DM caused if you are making that claim. Content and pacing aside… The economy on my server is only now starting to settle down and they are going to create rampant inflation with this release.
I also happen to think that this is way too fast and serves no purpose except to keep their “influencers” from running off to Archeage Unchained (to which I would have said good riddance).
This is also an obvious change in their planned releases and it sets the precedent that the phases we were told about are now off the table.
All in all, this is a really bad sign.
This is literally… untrue? Back in Vanilla in 2004, you could easily hit level 60 in about ~100-150 hours if you knew what you were doing, and planned your leveling path accordingly.
Now in 2019, there are actually straight up mods that do the planning for you, step by step, from where to go, which flight paths to grab, to the exact location on the map of where a quest NPC is, or a quest object can be looted.
This is on top of way more resources out on how to properly gear and spec your character while leveling to make things easier, and talents having been re-hauled for better QoL.
Classic has been out for 42 days. Meaning you could have hit 60 by only putting in a mere 2.5 hours of casual play a day to have hit 60 at this point. Even assuming you don’t log in every day, is it really considered “hardcore” to maybe put in 5-6 hours on a Saturday or a Sunday here and there?
It’s a good sign, every phase will cause inflation might as well spread out the inflation between each content release for classic servers. The economy is maybe 1/10th of the game.
Well the fact is only 17-20% of the player base is 60, why would you push for more content before even 50% are ready?
Its foolish and catering to these scumbag Streamers on youtube and Twitch the kiddies parrot.
Spreading it out would imply that you wait for the market to settle before releasing the next thing that pushes the market. I just told you that the market on our server is not yet stable. That is not “spreading out”. Hence my concern.
Where are you getting these statistics from? Provide a source for your claim cause as far as I know, Blizzard disabled the API tracking for census data so how do you know only 17-20% of the population are level 60?
You’re only 30 after 6 weeks. In 2005 I had a full time job and I leveled a holy priest faster than that. A lot of people are lvl 60 and eager to run endgame dungeons.
2 weeks I came to classic late
