We have people get weird lag in heroic raz for some reason, usually during breath.
Was so bad one night, affecting pretty much the entire raid we ended up cancelling after a couple pulls.

You’ll be replaced with someone who’s not disconnected in 10 seconds, and if not we can still do the dungeon with 4 people.
Not interested in carrying literally dead weight, even for two minutes.
It doesn’t always happen. I was doing some Cata timewalking dungeons today, had one to do and we got Vortex Pinnacle. Was all going well and then not too far from the final boss I misstepped getting onto one of those air vortexes to lift you and fell over the side, sent back to the damned beginning and well, I expected to be kicked as its a long run back.
I did apologise and say if they wanted to kick me would quite understand but they said its ok, get here when you can, we’ll deal with trash. So I made my way back, we did the last boss and left with no ill words spoken. So sure, some people are pests with the patience of 5 year old on a sugar high, but then a great many aren’t. It’s really just the luck of the draw.
Sucks, man. Good thing you can requeue immediately and quest in the mean time.
As frustrating as it is, like others have said, the players in your group have no way of knowing how long you’ll be gone for
I usually wait like 5 or 6 mins before starting a kick, and will usually vote no if it’s been less than that, to give people a second to come back.
When it’s stuff like this, it is not personal. They just wanted to carry on.
Something to consider when you are in a group activity, those people value their own time just like you do yours.
Got places to be and exp to get chopchop
If the group was moving slow, no carries to quickly finish with four, if the group doesn’t queue people will start leaving.
For that matter, how do you know that’s not what happened?

Nobody knows if a disconnected player will be back and it’s kind of rude and inconsiderate to expect four people to sit there and wait however many minutes for you to reconnect.
I’m not going to be happy if I get lobbed for disconnecting but I definitely understand, especially when dungeons are often like <10 minutes.

I’m usually fine with waiting a few minutes, but there is a limit. Unfortunately, that limit that a person is willing to wait is different for everyone.
I usually wait at least a few minutes before initiating a votekick if the dungeon isn’t finished by then. I can see why people wouldn’t wait that long though, you really have no idea how long it’ll take them to get back into the game, if they are at all and could be wasting alot of time waiting for someone who may not be coming back.
I have that happen as HEALER, its not uncommon, I wouldn’t let it bug you but I feel your pain. Its time wasted
